It's s shame that so many of Cabe's bosses at Homeland have come and gone with no explanation. At least Merrick had a proper story arc with a satisfying conclusion.

Merrick was really the only one who was around long enough to have much of a story. There's a reason I can barely remember the others' names.

It would be fun if they had an episode where there's a new head of the FBI who is briefed on one of Scorpion's recent cases and demands to find out more about what they've been doing. The story could be presented in a way that it seems like Cabe and the team are going to be in big trouble - maybe even barred from doing any more work for the government. But in the end, the new director praises them and gives them medals or something.

I like how we consider "he committed treason and fell to his death" is "a satisfying conclusion."

It had a very satisfying finality to it. Unlike the recent encounter with Collins.

Here is where I see happening with Cabe I think the criminal case will be dropped but he will lose his job at Homeland but Walter hires him at Scorpion for security the team will lose government support but Homeland does not support them that much anyway

But the show hinges on the cases where Homeland needs Scorpion to deal with situations the government can't deal with on their own. Yes they take on other cases too - and I love the more personal cases - but essentially without Cabe being their link to Homeland the whole tone of the show will alter.

This new director seems intent on getting rid of Cabe, even though he barely knows him. Makes me wonder if there's more to this story, or if the new guy really is that one dimensional? I hope to see Walter and the team outsmarting him somehow and then someone else at Homeland will see what an asset Cabe (and Scorpion) is and we'll finally get a director who is on their side!

That was my thought exactly. Homeland may not be very supportive - but they do shove a lot of cases on Scorpion and that's the premise of the whole show. So if they are disconnected from Homeland, they'd be doing nothing but private cases - and those are much less likely to be "save the world" situations.

They don't exactly have a good relationship with the CIA after the Area 51 incident!

The CIA, FBI and NSA are more about intelligence gathering - spying, basically - although the FBI does a lot of arresting and crime prevention as well. I don't think Scorpion would want to work with spies.

Agree, Heidi. Homeland is exactly the department that fits what they do.

It was fun watching Cabe as the one back at the garage - especially watching after Ralph. He seemed so frustrated, though. Then Allie reading him the riot act - not that she didn't have cause - but that must have really been hard for him.

It was fun - I loved his bemused reaction to Patty! - but I hope it doesn't happen too often, Cabe needs to be out in the field. I thought his line "I'm not there to protect you!" was particularly poignant, actually.
