He's the only character that hasn't had one - during the show's run anyway. They really should give him someone in S3, it'd be nice to see.

Based on his fling with speed dating, he's obviously open to the idea. I really hope he gets a love interest. Although I think it would be fun for this friend to remain off-camera; have the team guess and speculate, but not actually know for sure. I'm not sure Cabe would be the type to bring a special friend around to the garage - at least not until they are practically married.

I don't think that's true. Cabe's had some terrific moments with Toby this season. When he saw that Toby was upset about Happy shutting him out and spending time with Chet, he recognized that he needed someone and really stepped in as a father figure. He spent time with him, not only teaching him boxing, but also listening to him and offering advice.

Perhaps Cabe was more hurt by Walter's rejection in late S1 than we first thought. I don't think he's consciously distancing himself from Walter, but perhaps in the aftermath of that rift, he's gravitating more to the other guys on the team.

That's what I was thinking too...even though they got past it - and we saw a good moment with him and Walter in 2.01, but since then there really hasn't been much of any of that father - son bond that we got a lot of in the first season. And that really disappoints me, and we don't see much of him interacting with Ralph either.

I don't see that being the case at all. It makes sense that as Cabe gets to know the rest of the team better he's going to grow closer to them as well. Just because he sensed that another one of his "kids" needed him, that doesn't mean that he's distancing himself from Walter. Plus, I think the writers just wanted to explore a different relationship this season. Personally, I loved the Cabe/Toby scenes.
