I wasn't big on that either, although I can see how someone who doesn't know Paige's story might get that impression of her. WE know how much she's struggled and how smart and strong she is and what she's overcome. But Florence doesn't. Florence sees a bigshot company and Paige as someone who may have slept her way into the job. Since she is legitimately struggling, I can see her feeling some level of jealousy and bitterness towards Paige since she sees their backgrounds as very different. She's wrong, but she doesn't know that.

It was amazing! Though Florence didn't do much to endear her to me in this episode. Like I'm glad she's alive, absolutely, but she can cut the crap.

It was really good to see Allie again. I was beginning to think that they'd forgotten she exists.

I don't know about anyone else, but I was kinda disappointed with the Cabe storyline. It just felt a tad contrived to me.

I understand that Florence doesn't know anything about Paige, but she didn't have to be so rude! Walter, with all his EQ problems, has never been downright rude. Direct, maybe and insensitive, but Florence's attack was nasty and personal. I don't mind a little friction/clash of personalities, but they should play that for humour. I did love Paige putting her in her place though and Toby's warning! I also loved Walter's selfless actions to save her. I hope now she might start to soften a little. At least Paige forgave her enough to allow her to the Thanksgiving dinner and Florence obviously didn't hate the idea of spending time with them and she did apologise for her behaviour.

To start with I thought it was a little unfair of everyone to blame Florence for what happened on the plastic island, but then I realised that the team are used to being able to rely on each other. Walter would never feel the need to check Sly's calculations, for example, so they just kind of forgot she wasn't a genius and assumed she would have covered all possibilites.

I thought the Cabe storyline was wonderful. RP played a blinder, it was so hard to see Cabe hurting, but we know it'll do him good now he's not repressing those bad memories. It did seem to come out of nowhere though, but they don't really have time to build up to the emotional stuff when they have to devote screen time to the case too. I thought Toby dictating notes about his 'patient' was an interesting way of explaining things and I love that Toby realised straight away that there was something amiss with Cabe's memories. I also love that Toby thanked Cabe for opening up to him, that was a lovely moment. It was was particularly moving that Cabe stayed emotional through the final scene. That's the bit that really got me!

I loved the return of Ralph's pumpkin thrower.

Also loved Walter and Happy's "Shove your arm in!" argument! "I don't know how Toby does it?"

And it was wonderful to see Allie back and how supportive she was of Cabe. I also loved Walter asking Toby about Cabe and Toby reassuring him that he would be OK.

Happy's indignant "I don't cook, I reheat!" was brilliant!

And, oh my goodness, Walter talking about being a parent! I'm not sure he should have insisted that Happy consider naming their baby after him, though? That was arrogant, even for Walter!

Yeah, exactly, the geniuses can be arrogant and blunt, or insensitive, but Florence just made it super personal (and superficial) with no reason. That was gross and honestly, I'm glad Paige has forgiven her, but I'm not scripted and it takes a little longer with me.

The Walter/Happy stuff on the trash heap was hilarious.

As for the end, at first I was kinda like "Walter, you're apologizing but you're still being pushy," but then I thought about it a little more and I think that conversation was largely due to the dynamic and history Walter and Happy have. He apologized, but wanted to explain why he kept bringing up the name to her. I can see how it can come off as arrogant, but he meant it not as "I want to guilt you into doing it" but as "to know that I meant enough to someone for them to name their kid after me would make me proud," as a further explanation for why he had been behaving as he had been, because Happy is his friend and they work in a very similar way intellectually. And normally when he has these feelings he talks to Paige or maybe Cabe, depending, but neither of them were really available given either what they were going through or just full context. So Walter said okay, I'm gonna dump my feelings on this on Happy because she will probably get it.

Oh you're absolutely right, Nicole! I couldn't see it, but of course it's OK because it's Walter talking to Happy. If Walter had suggested to Toby that they should name the baby after him, it would have been all wrong, but because it's Happy and they have that connection and understanding of each other it totally works. Brilliant.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not but I think that's sincere. If so, I'm glad I was making sense because I was typing that like "okay I know exactly what I'm trying to say but I have absolutely no idea how to make it into words."

I'm being sincere, I promise! I completely understand what you were trying to say and I'm so happy that I no longer think Walter was being a bit of a jerk.

I this post. When you stop to think who Walter is speaking to, what he says and how he says it makes perfect sense. With most people, Walter has to attempt to be tactful. He's often not successful, and so he comes off as awkward or worse. Happy is one person that he knows he doesn't have to do that with, because she, like him, appreciates a more straightforward way of communicating. So he can just lay it on her and Happy will take him at face value with no emotional interpretation.

That moment between Walter and Happy was very sweet at the end. I love how, at first, Walter was against Quintis, but he's blossomed into a diehard Quintis fan, . Part of me thinks that it's because Walter subconsciously *needs* Toby and Happy's relationship to work because they've set an example to him... that relationships within the company CAN and DO work..., and also because Happy and Toby are completely opposite personalities, much like Walter and Paige.

I actually just paralleled two scenes in Scorpion where Walter has been "somewhat supportive" / "somewhat imposing" on Toby and Happy's relationship with wanting to insert himself (in some way) into the important events such as their wedding and, eventually, having a baby.

I would have thought Walter would be the last person to be excited that Toby and Happy were trying to have a baby, but he seems almost as if not more excited than Paige.

In many ways, Toby and Happy have almost fostered Walter in his feelings for Paige, helping him realize how much he loves her, and so... I think Walter is very appreciative of Toby and Happy as a combined force of nature and as separate entities for helping him emotionally evolve into the man who is now Paige's boyfriend.

Toby and Happy's wedding literally brought Walter and Paige together, salvaging their friendship and kindling their relationship.

So I'm glad the show is showcasing moments like these where Walter shares his appreciation and fondness for his friends who have impacted him in many ways, and I hope they continue to do that. It just shows how much he has grown in the last four years. ♥

I loved the Cabe/Toby scenes. Robert Patrick really stole the show this week. I’m assuming this is the last we’ll see of the therapy storyline, since that’s how procedural shows usually work, but I’d love to see more character focused moments like this in the future. I’m starting to find the cases a bit silly and predictable, so it’s really scenes like this that keep me tuning in.

I guess I’m the only one who felt really bad for Flo. Considering the number of times a team member has screwed things up and created a bigger problem for themselves, I thought it was unfair of them to be so critical. I also found Walter’s dig about not being surprised that she had no Thanksgiving plans to be quite cruel. While I’m not defending the things Flo said to Paige, I personally didn’t care for the way Paige handled the situation.

I’m also getting really tired of Walter making every step of Happy and Toby’s relationship be about him.

Walter was a little petty too, wasn't he. I suppose we are more inclined to see that kind of low EQ behaviour from Walter as endearing because it's Walter and we love him.

I got the impression Paige felt bad about the way she spoke to Florence, but at the same time she stands by what she said and I'm glad she stood up for herself and the team.

I think one of my favorite moments was seeing how excited Walter was for that moment when he thought Happy was pregnant. Walter of 2 or 3 years ago would have only been concerned that pregnant Happy might not be able to help on cases as much. But this Walter can't wait to see the first Scorpion offspring.
