TFTNT! This should be a fascinating episode. It's sad that people have to live this way, but also fascinating how they manage.

I've been looking forward to this one for a long time. HAPPY HAS A FRIEND THAT THEY DON'T KNOW ABOUT. Other than Sly having his fellow fanboys, it seems everyone else only associates with Team Scorpion.

The thought that they sometimes socialize outside of Scorpion does make me happy. I've wondered if even Paige knows anyone outside of work. Of course, while she was waitressing she probably didn't have time, since she was working 2 jobs. But since she's been taking classes, she might have at least gotten to know someone there.

Though they only mentioned her taking classes in one episode two years ago so who knows if that's even still going on. :look: I do like that they spend so much time together, but it's nice to know that at least some of them socialize outside of work. And I love that the 'save the kid' episode is someone Happy has a connection with - as Walter's my favorite character I've loved Dominoes and Ticker with him connecting with kids, but I'm really excited to see this year's episode be Happy focused.

I got an ask today regarding one of the sneak peeks and I'm just going to link to it and my answer here since it's an assumption rather than something we know for sure.

It's a little weird setting an alarm for 9:55 pm, but I've realized I really can't manage waiting until the next day. It's no fun.

Yeah it was hard enough for me waiting an extra two hours when I was working.

Like Walter, I'm sad that Paige is sad. But I can't help but be overjoyed that Tim and Paige have split. :D

Again, Jadyn absolutely killed it in this episode. I love that we're getting so much intensity from her, and so much insight into Happy. But dang - give the girl a break! I did think Toby was a little harsh with her on the whole "you have no friends to invite to the wedding". I mean, sheesh - he knows she's never been a social butterfly. And they've been together for about a year now. I'm pretty sure he's figured out that she doesn't do Girl's Night or get together with friends for shopping and a movie. It seemed to me like he was rubbing it in a bit rough.

I'm sad Paige is sad too, even though it doesn't surprise me, since what Tim was doing was exactly what Drew did, so she's gotta be feeling pretty crappy even though this time the breakup was mutual and her relationship with Drew was way more serious.

I knew the girl was going to live (because they never fail and wouldn't start by killing a kid) but I was so freaking nervous through the entire thing anyway. I think part of it is because both Happy and Walter very rarely show such extreme emotion, so when they do, it gets to me more than when Paige or Toby or Sly show it. And we've been getting some fantastic stuff from Happy lately and this, with her actually wanting to connect with this girl, and then it being more about just completeing the mission for her.

It was such a good episode overall, though despite me always being suspicious of Allie and never really allowing myself to fully like her, I was surprisingly sad when that ended.

FoxPhile 02-28-2017 02:54 PM

One of the most tense moments for me was when the fire went out and they were all waiting for Ada to come out of the honey. A large part of that tension was because of Walter and his reactions. He face, his stance - everything was projecting his anxiety and his fear that after everything they had done, they might loose her. It's those sorts of moments that really get to me - even though there is always a part of me that rationally knows things will turn out okay, the way the actors respond is so powerful that it somehow sends that rational part of me into hiding and I feel what they are feeling.

I was sad about Allie too, although I was expecting something like this to happen. I'm glad that they did it like they did. She really did care about Cabe, but in the end, she felt she had to keep her job, and that meant doing what her boss told her to do. I wonder if Patel didn't tell her to do it on purpose - because he resented her "consorting with the enemy". I admire Cabe for following his convictions, and putting his "kids" above his own desires. Not a lot of men would give up a relationship with a woman like Allie for the sake of their co-workers or even their family.

WeBuiltThePyramids 02-28-2017 06:30 PM

The team waiting on kids is the worst/best for me. Standing by while they gave Owen CPR, in the waiting room to see if Oliva's body accepted the heart, and now waiting for Ada to surface. Like, you know it's going to be okay, but you can just see them, in their pasture, in their eyes, their expressions, they're just like oh god, what if this time we failed? It just hits me so hard, and then it's so emotional when the kid lives.

Detopping this, but feel free to continue the discussion. This was certainly a great episode!

It really was.
