I hope for some good scenes in the next episode. It seems like Barry, Cisco, Caitlin and Julian are the only ones going to E-2. Since they're trying to sell Caitlin/Julian as a couple I expect them to milk their interactions. This leaves Barry and Cisco free to interact with each other

I think the whole thing was poorly written. First of all, Cisco is not the only one who could open a breach so his death would have been pointless. Secondly, even if he were his death would result in Barry, Caitlin and Julian being stuck on Earth-2 with Grodd.
