So I did some reading today. It turns out that you can go to jail for using bear repellent spray on a person.

To put things into perspective, standard police issue pepper spray is about 25,000 SHU (the things they use to measure spicy food), and Phase 4 pepper spray (bear mace) is about 2 million. It will blister skin.
