Hey guys! I looked for a ''Salvation'' thread, but didn't find it, so am letting everyone know that ''The Salvation'' which is a Western film from last year will be debuting on Showtime tonight. I've yet to see it, so am excited. Most of the actors in it I don't know of, but Jeffrey Dean Morgan is also in it.

ina_am 11-08-2015 03:25 AM

This is wonderful, thanks so much for the info :yay: She's great in that!

canflam 11-08-2015 02:39 PM

I did see it & I agree that she was great in it. I thought it was an enjoyable Western overall though I haven't seen a ton of that genre. It was interesting that she didn't get to speak in this film, but she sure was able to stand up for herself. It was also interesting that she had a cut on her lip throughout the entire film I believe as it wasn't said that I remember how she got that cut. It will be re-airing this throughout this month on Showtime channels if anyone missed it yesterday.

ina_am 11-09-2015 04:04 AM

So glad you enjoyed the movie! :yay:

Hawthorn 11-09-2015 09:04 PM

Hey Matt!

I saw the movie and enjoyed it, too, although it's been a while and I could use a rewatch to recall a lot of details that my crappy memory erased. Eva is so expressive that her casting was an excellent choice for such a character.

I don't know how much traffic a specific thread dedicated to the film could generate, but feel free to start one if you want to discuss it more, Matt! Or we could open a "Other Projects" general thread where we could also discuss The Salvation.

Awesome suggestion, Fran :yay: !

I agree she doesn't need words to express her emotions! Fabulous actress

2016 Golden Globes: Why Eva Green, Caitriona Balfe, Gillian Anderson deserve Drama Actress nods

http://cartermatt.com/wp-content/upl...en-globes.jpeg

Eva Green, “Penny Dreadful” (Showtime)Green to us is probably the biggest underdog on TV, noting most awards-shows reluctance to admit that great performances can happen on a show full of complicated supernatural characters and creatures. Yet, she is outstanding as Vanessa on this series. Eva plays this part with the gravitas of a motion-picture epic, and it may be some of her experience in cinema that may allow her to be better-suited to tackle some of these grander themes with the necessary gravitas and grace.

Voted! Thanks for the article!

Damn right she deserves a nomination. Her work on PD has been brilliant and very consistent in all the episodes.

I so agree, she has been absolutely awesome :thud:
