Well, that scene just got even more heartbreaking for me.

And I still don't know how I feel about Walt just watching that happen without doing anything; a naive part of me feels that he was just shocked to do anything, but he probably just thought it would benefit him in the end.

I don't think he was in shock at all, I think it was totally on purpose. Jane was getting in the way and he wanted Jesse back
