7x03 "The Garden of Forking Paths"
{AIRS: 19th October, 2017}

When Cinderella finds herself staring danger in the eye, she receives help from an unlikely
source. Her rescue leads to an alliance that could aid in the defeat of Lady Tremaine’s rule
and reveals a dark secret from Cinderella’s past. In Hyperion Heights, Jacinda goes to
extreme measures to stop Victoria Belfrey from destroying Lucy’s beloved community
garden, while Lucy tries to convince Henry that Victoria is after more than just a plot of
land. Meanwhile, Victoria makes a discovery that could alter everyone’s fate.

I saw it this morning and I've started noticed my pattern of watching it later and later each week. Didn't enjoy this one... I get that they're trying, but they're trying too hard to recycle old plot lines.

I rolled my eyes so hard when Henry followed his daughter underground like Emma did with Henry.

The glass slipper being underground, like the glass coffin?

I also felt like the whole saving a garden storyline was very weak and not something that would be episode worthy.

Not impressed with how little Hook and Rumple there was either.

I might give it until mid-season finale, or until episode 5. Then I think i'm quoting too.

Okay, now I feel better. I did watch Friday, but have held off saying what I thought because I didn't enjoy this one either.

For all of their talk about it being like a new show and whatever, it just feels like a weaker version of things we've already seen. Like Tiana. I was actually liking her. But then the flashbacks happened and they made her feel so generic now. The whole resistance thing made me roll my eyes.

The Henry/Rogers/Roni alliance feels so contrived to me. I just don't care for Regina in any form, I guess.

That said, I always bought her as a credible threat. Lady Tremaine? Not so much.

I officially don't care for Cinderella. I do still like Henry so there's that.

Not enough Rumple. And I'm saying that as someone who has been over that character for the past couple of seasons. That's not a reflection on Robert by any means.

The one storyline I'm actually somewhat interested in is Wish Hook's search for his daughter, so of course it didn't even get brought up.

That's one of my other problems with this season. The episodes feel so disjointed so far.

And I miss Storybrooke way more than I thought I would. I've never been a big Rumbelle fan, but I'm curious enough to see how they'll handle them next week. But after that? I don't know. I might be done.

Just seen this episode. I'm glad I didn't stay up to watch it. It was dull and filled with recycled storylines. Just hoping next week's episode will be better.

The main focus being on Cinderella meant that someone I don't particularly care for was at the forefront, and therefore less than interesting to me.

One highlight for me was Weaver, I'm really enjoying this new version of his character.

I also liked Regina imparting wisdom to Ella.

Overall it wasn't a good episode, and very predictable, unfortunately.
