 7x05 "Greenbacks" {AIRS: 3rd November, 2017} Tiana seeks help from a traveling soothsayer, the iconic Dr. Facilier, in an attempt to save her kingdom. But when it's revealed that he has an ulterior motive she's forced to take matters into her own hands. In Hyperion Heights, Sabine and Jacinda take on a risky business venture, but the strength of their friendship is tested when Victoria interferes with their plans. Meanwhile, Ivy recruits Henry to investigate Victoria, and Roni makes a discovery that could change her relationship with Henry forever. Rogers uncovers a crucial clue in his search for Eloise Gardener. |

So I watched and it was okay. I think Mekia is doing a good job as Tiana and I liked Dr. Facilier and hope we see him again. The last scene was good. I'm still liking Ivy.
But the restaurant subplot just ticked me off. Everything about it. Including what they're trying to pretend was a food truck. There was more Colin that I thought there would be, but still not all that much. Though Rumple wasn't in it at all, so I guess a little Colin is better than nothing. Roni and Henry have an odd kind of chemistry. There was one scene where she seemed more like a jealous ex to me.  One of my big problems? There doesn't seem to be any noticeable difference between the regular personalities of the characters and their cursed personalities. The characters seem the same in both times. Exception being Whook, but we barely see him. |

Yep.
 Not great, but definitely not terrible either. Even with what I didn't like, I'd say it's one of the strongest episodes of the season so far. There's a couple of plots that have the potential to be really, really good, I think. And for the record, I don't think most people will hate the restaurant subplot as much as I did. My problem is my family was in the restaurant business for decades and I couldn't stop thinking about how much trouble Sabine and Jacinda were causing the owner.  |

I enjoyed this episode. I loved the moment that Roni and Henry looked at the photo of themselves.
I loved the twist that the 'prince' became a frog. It was very sweet, too. The plot of Rogers' quest to find the missing girl is getting more interesting. It was very expected that Tiana would discover she needed to be a hero, and not find one, but it was good anyway. I liked the soothsayer, I'm sure I recognise the actor... I'm really liking Ivy's arc, she's an interesting character who is always going to keep the audience guessing. How did she get her memories back? Shame no Rumple, but Robert likes to have episodes off, so that's ok. Not very fond of the restaurant scenes, but then I'm still not liking Jacinda, so that could be part of it. __________________

Not much Colin to see in this one, but I enjoyed what we did get. Something hot about him punching someone though.
As for the rest of the plot for this episode, i'm not invested in Tiana or Mrs. Belfry so.. meh. It seems the only characters i'm interested in, don't get time. I just want Colin/Robert. |
