I just bought a new XBOX360 with a 500GB in it for $148. :) Now to transfer my games, saves etc over to it this week some time. My old 360 (the only one I have ever had) is dying I think, it takes a long time to boot, logs offline randomly and takes a few goes to log in also some games do not show up in the disc tray and when they are it says unrecognised disc even though the disc is undamaged at all! Reboot does not fix that issue, as I think it is the old hard drive and/or the drive motor dying from old age and 9+ years of heavy use! :) This had the biggest HDD a 360 could get at the time, 60GB! Never had a RRoD issue ever with this console that I bought on the 1st of February 2007. The only way I could get CoD4 to play yesterday was to access the game disc that saw in the disc tray, unscratched disc in perfect condition mind-you, what I had to do was go through to the 'recently played games' section in the menu on the dashboard to load it up as it did not show up as being in the disc tray!
I just hope that the transfer happens without complications!!! Otherwise I will be quite upset as when you copy the data over, the power must not go off otherwise you lose EVERYTHING and it is all gone forever...... It copies the files from one hard drive to the new one and deletes the old file from the old hard drive so that only one version exists which I hate that it does this, they could just NOT do that and once the files have all fully transferred successfully to the new hard drive THEN and only then delete the old hard drive files - this would minimise the risk of losing everything due to a storm/car hitting power pole etc cutting power to your house which in turn causes you to lose all data.
