Really disappointed Legendary Edition isn't removing the recruitment restrictions in ME2. I want to bring to Tali on Garrus' recruitment mission.

Recruitment restrictions? Isn't that just the way the story unfolds? I dont think you can do that.

Bioware originally intended all squadmates to be available for recruitment from the start of the game, but the Xbox's hardware limitations forced them to divide the squadmates into two batches, one on each game disc. Tali, Legion, Thane and Samara/Morinth could only be recruited after the Horizon mission while everyone else was available from the start. For the sake of parity, Bioware artificially put in the same restriction on Playstation and PC versions. Modders found voice lines of Tali on pre-Horizon missions buried in the game files.

Ah interesting. That would be cool, but I think they'd have to completely remake the game to do that, since they made it at least somewhat part of the story. Since this is just a remaster that doesn't surprise me.

Yeah, I think they should've called it the Remastered Edition so it was clear what we were getting.

Hopefully the sequel they're also working on turns out to be good. I'd like to see them bring back the idea of the male/female protagonists being canonical fraternal twins, but take it a step further by making the twin you don't choose available as a squadmate instead. The whole time I played Andromeda I wished I could interact with my sibling more.
