Board Game thread #1 - Bringing people together and tearing them apart
I remember we used to have a thread for board games, which was really fun. I couldn't find it, but feel free to close this thread if you do find it.

Well, like I said, you might have. I looked but couldn't find it.
I Scrabble. I can never find anyone to play with me. __________________

We used to have Scrabble tournaments at my grandpa's house. He would always find a way to kick our butts!

Some people are just too good at Scrabble for me to play with them.
Ooh, but I rock at Boggle. __________________

I love Boggle. I'm not very good with that game as well. But it's still so much fun. I like playing with a group of people and then we're all jockeying for position so we can see all the letters.

I had 2 older brothers & 2 sisters while growing up so I managed to play quite a few games back then like...
Monopoly(lol. I cried whenever I lost everything), Scrabble, Battleship, Spill and Spell, Mastermind, Checkers, Trouble, Operation, Perfection, Reversi (aka Othello) Oddly enough I've never played popular favorites like Clue, the Game of Life, Yahtzee, Boggle, Risk, Backgammon or Mousetrap before. And I never could grasp Chess...which is really too bad because they have some amazing collectible Chess sets out there. I enjoy the games that challenge your thinking skills. So I bought Mastermind, Blokus and Hopper for my neice & nephew to play when they visit. They usually play my PS2, but they seem to like these games when they want a change of pace. |

I really enjoy Mastermind and we bought it for my boys last year. They like it too. I've never played Backgammon. I grew up playing mostly card game until I was a teen and then I really liked the kiddie stuff, like Hungry, Hungry Hippos and PickUp Sticks and Operation.

My sister and I used to fight over game stuff. Actually, she'd start crying if she was losing. So the game would be over.
