Wonder if the actors were somewhat shocked as well

It really does sound like everyone was shocked! I've even seen other celebrities, like the actresses from Charmed saying how surprised they are and as well helping show support for saving the show.

Charmed actresses watching the show, that's awesome!

I know it! I wasn't surprised Channing Tatum said something because he's the husband of the actress who plays Freya, but a lot of others were speaking up too! Thought it was awesome that the Charmed actresses watch the show! The show reminds me quite a bit of Charmed! (Though I'll admit, I like WOEE a bit better than I liked Charmed)

The Charmed comparisons have been going on since the pilot. I remember seeing comments on IMDB like it was a copy cat

Yeah, definitely not a copycat. I'm always annoyed by those sorts of accusations. I remember any paranormal film or book series (Vampire Academy among many) being accused of being a Twilight ripoff. It's not like Twilight is the be all and end all of the paranormal genre!

The Vampire Diaries was accused of the same. I guess a lot of people don't know those books were written before Twilight.

Yeah. It happens. People don't do their research.

Yeah, they don't. I think I actually had the original Vampire Diaries book when I was in my teens! They were written in the 90s, right?

The first three, yes. Though I like the later books more.

Were they better? I was actually reading about the author who wrote the books and how they kicked her off of the project and she ended up writing fan fiction about Vampire Diaries. Craaaaazy! I guess they had different visions of how the show and books were supposed to go.
