Witches of East End -- Episode Discussion

Quote:
Still reeling from Freya and Ingrid’s murder, a devastated Joanna retreats to her bedroom, unable to face the reality that she’s once again had to watch them die and that the cycle will only repeat itself. Worried about her sister’s state of mind, Wendy is determined to bring them back, but knows the dangers of the spells all too well... and is forced to partner with the enemy. Meanwhile, Killian makes a startling discovery, and Dash’s secrets begin to surface.

Thanks for the thread Jen. Excited/nervous for the episode. Won't be able to watch it right away being I work Sunday night, but will try to watch it as soon as I can after.

I have a feeling Ingrid and Freya will be dead for most of the episode..bc one of the writers said it will be a nail biter of an episode.

Watching it now.

But I don't particularly like Fredrick playing the "blame game" with Killian, when he had played a major part in his sisters death.

However, I do think they need to do an episode in Asgard. I feel like we only getting one side, Fredrick. I don't believe he is reliable narrator.

I did!

This one really felt like it flew by really quick! I guess because it didn't feel as wrapped up and ended on such a cliffhanger, which of course makes next Sunday seem like FOREVER AWAAAAAAAAAAY!

Well, I knew the girls would come back! Couldn't have a show without them, obviously! Don't know if I trust that grandfather though. I think Frederick WANTS to, but I think he tends to just be a (with mistakes, of course) good person.

I couldn't believe Ingrid didn't go with them though. I don't know what her deal is. And DASH! WTH? I can't believe he just went and slept with that woman! I'm really starting not to like him much at all. It's like he just keeps getting worse and worse. I'm sure once he knows Ingrid is back he'll be all back at her!

And I'm dying to know what's up with Eva. I had a feeling that SL wasn't quite over. I just hope that it's over for the "love triangle" part. I'm hoping it's for Killian to get his own little storyline going so we know more about him, because at this point I think he's one of the characters we know the littlest about. We've seen a lot of Dash's personality and choices and his journey with his magic thus far, but not much with Killian.

And I really hope we'll somehow get Tommy back!

Yeah, I really love Frederick, but that grated on my nerves! He was going off on Killian knowing full well he no longer remembers his previous lives, so it was honestly a bit pointless of him.

Though I am curious as to what it was that he did. Out of all the characters I think Killian is the one we don't really know. We haven't really seen how magic effects him (it's obviously bringing out the bad in Dash).

Edit: Ugh, sorry for double posting! I totally spaced out.

I do believe the Eva/Killian/Freya triangle is over. I don't think Killian was ever really in love with her, and more or less was rape by Eva. I dont think Killian would necessary be with Eva again. However, I do wonder why "Eva" (I'm assuming she is controlling the statue) would send Killian to his descendents. Unless it is to help them to bring Eva back.

Honestly I don't think i was that surprised Dash slept with that detective. He slept with another woman after Ingrid "rejected" him. I think both times Dash seemed a bit douche to me. However the detective did come across very strongly, and seemed like can't take no for an answer.

I do find it interesting that Ingrid chose to stay, I got strong parallel feelings between Ingrid letting go of Joanna's hand, and the flashback we got with Asgard with Frederick.

But next episode seems interesting. Especially with them being in the 1800's(?)

On another note. I do wonder why Freya was sent to the underworld, why Ingrid was a "ghost" confined to the house.

I felt the episode was half brilliant half garbage.

Julia Ormond absolutely owned the episode.

The killian/dash stuff was garbage...and I really hope dash is done having sex with raven...using sex to numb the pain.

And you know ingrid knows everything.

I think ingrid may play both sides..good and evil...to get info for her family.

I also feel like they use sex on this show too gratuitously...like really its lame...the way they use it...like they really are starting to get to cliche.

That bit in the bath broke me I knew what was happening and I had to look away.

I hate the fact that Dash had sex with that cop, not once but inviting her over for a second round. It didn't take him long to move on, well not exactly move on, but having sex with a stranger is not healthy way of dealing with pain, especially compared to Killian who properly grieved over Freya and is trying to get her back.

Well we all know dash has some major issues..lol...

I do feel like raven is going to try and kill him...

Obviously her name being raven..means she is bad news...not just for dash.

deleted scene...this is specualtion but i think raven is the gatherer especially after seeing that..I would put this is a spoiler tag just in case but i don't know how..

They shouldnt have cut that scene.
