What a great way to address this topic! Not everyone wants to have kids, for one reason or another. I personally don't want kids of my own. The writers are so good with handling sensitive topics. I loved the debate scene with Holt, that's probably my favorite scene of the episode.

Yeah, this episode wasn't for me and to be honest, I don't think they handled the issue at all. You could see it coming from a mile away that Jake would be the one changing his mind, as it's the case 99% of the time on TV shows because it's always the person who doesn't want kids who ends up budging. Being firmly childfree myself, I hate that, and I also very much dislike that (as usual) he didn't want kids because he's insecure about being a crap father. I know I'd be an amazing mom, I just don't want kids, plain and simple, and that's the case for LOTS of childfree people I know. I wish they hadn't made the parenting thing an issue because I feel like the show dropped the ball with this one. They basically did what every other show does, which is to show childfree people as people who deep down wanna be parents but can't see past their issues, but are ~helped~ through them by the people who do want kids.
As for the funnier moments, I loved the debate portion, and Rosa saying she's a great bully I also appreciate that Terry was honest about fatherhood and didn't pressure Jake to go along with it if he weren't sure. __________________
