Letters to the cast of Flarrow:

----------------------------
Dear Malcolm Merlyn,

Why are you such a dumbass? Resurrecting a psycho is NOT going to end well.

----------------------------
Dear Oliver Queen,

Why are you a lying liar who lies? Keeping Felicity in the dark about your son is NOT going to end well.

----------------------------
Dear Carter Hall,

Why are you so freakin' annoying? That is all.

----------------------------
Dear Felicity Smoak,

How did you have a random Beta machine lying around, conveniently hooked up to your computer already, despite the fact you said "This may take a while to play" about two seconds before it started to play?

----------------------------
Dear Thea Queen Merlyn,

Thank you for that Avengers reference! ILY.

----------------------------

Sincerely,

The Flarrow Fandom

Seriously though I liked most of the episode. When everybody died I was . Obviously knew time travel was gonna come into play when Barry saw himself but I didn't expect that. It was crazy stuff.

Also felt they seemed to make the baby mama annoying. They seemed to give her a moral high ground because she didn't cash the check. Yes she is a mom and has to do what's best for the kid but she really doesn't know Oliver enough to judge him now. She calls him out on his past but yet she slept with him so I'm not sure where she has a leg to stand on. Maybe I didn't like her because they made her come off manipulative. I guess Moira rubbed of on her.

so now technically that is twice is Barry has... time jumped... and potentially changed things.

will be interesting to see what changes this one causes.

I kind of hope its bigger than a relationship thing to be honest. Not saying I want someone to die or anything like that but I need something big. Almost KF big. But I don't think its quite time for that so thats probably out.

had the strange feeling that it might be interesting if Savage ever met DD or if Zoom happened to be around - although I guess technically there would be an E2 version of Savage, wouldn't there? - and they crossed paths.

That may be the problem...she doesn't know him at all so she can't fully trust him.

Elektra,

Spot on post, esp. the part about Felicity playing back a BETA tape (which was around WAY before she was born) on a laptop!!! That was one of, if not THE dumbest thing I've seen on these types of shows, & I've seen a LOT of dumb things. Other than that, Barry going back in time to correct the HUGE mistake that the team made was probably the highlight of the ep for me. ( I hope the next time he time travels he does it b/c something happens to Iris, a la Superman The Movie.)

One thing about these Flarrow crossovers: why is the Flash portion always better than the Arrow portion? I guess that's why I don't waste my time watching Arrow!

I get her not wanting to broadcast to the world that she had Oliver Queen's kid... but c'mon. To ask him NOT to tell his SO of all people? That's a bit too much. Oliver should have just told Felicity "Hey, there's something I need to tell you but I promised that no one else would know, and you can't acknowledge it in any way..." or something.

Is Felicity going to think he's cheating on her when he goes sneaking off to that lady's house now?

To relate this to The Flash: Joe has a son that Mama West kept from him as well.

I think the consequence was Oliver and Felicity's future.

Possibly. Barry warned him about that too.

If Felicity makes a guest appearance on The Flash later on, I wouldn't be surprised if Barry lets something slip thinking that Oliver would have told her already. Oops...

Random thought: It seems Barry's recurring theme this season is "I want to be everyone's hero". We've had a few hints of that already:

* Barry being all angsty about how Ronnie and Eddie were the heroes in the Season 2 premiere

* "The Flash" CC Jitters drink

* Dating Patty, the Barry fangirl (because, let's face it... she totally is).

* Joe making the comment a few episodes ago about how Barry was going after Zoom because he wanted to be the hero

* Oliver's "You can't be Kendra's hero" in the first half of the crossover

* Mini-Ollie as the ultimate Flash Fanboy in the second half of the crossover

So.... anyone think Barry's journey this season will be to finally realize that he's ALREADY a hero to Central City, and that's enough. He doesn't need to be a "hero" to his family and friends?

Yeah, great observation Elektra.
Mind over matter.
I guess you can say the idea of being "the hero" is over thought to the point where, like you said, Barry is already being the hero he doesn't yet realize he is. With great power comes great responsibility... and he's doing that naturally. He just has to keep believing in himself. Because we all saw Eddie's sacrifice and how much of a huge blow that was to Barry's self-confidence. Little by little he's regaining that confidence with the help of the people around him that believe in him.
I guess, it comes down to knowing when to knowing when to pick his battles. He can't be a hero to everyone everywhere. Joe and police, and other hero metahumans are there to handle stuff he feels he can't get to.
I never thought about Patty being Barry's fangirl.. Excellent point. So when she does find out he's the flash, will that devalue her perception of him or no? we'll see.
