I am rewatching the weddings, cause I can only watch so many Christmas movies in one day. Anyway, when someone says, that they are a complete and total stranger, they are not. Come on Barry. I'll let it slide, because he was getting married but total red flag. Who says that? That's not normal.

I'm a bit behind on this show but just wanted to pop in and saw hiiiii!

I haven't even seen the wedding episode yet but I had to change my signature because IM SO EXCITED.

I've been so disheartened this season because of all of the Iris hate that I feel has just come out of nowhere (but I was also disconnected from fandom for a few years). It makes perfect sense that she took over leadership of the team, damnit and I am so upset that so few people see that.

ALSO, I lovelovelove this season so far. So light, and fun and Iris and Barry have been BEAUTIFUL. I just finished episode five so still a bit to catch up on but

Hi! I love Iris and so many people here do as well and love that she is team leader. Just ignore the haters. As Taylor Swift says, haters are just gonna hate, hate, hate........ Keep going, because there is a lot of good stuff to come. The crossover was a mixed bag for me, but I try to look at the good and focus on that and not what I didn't like. I agree, this season has been fun.

Totally agree with Kat. Just ignore the haters. It happens whenever a woman takes center stage on a DC show with a titular male hero. They hated on Laurel, then she died and they miss her. They hate on Felicity. They hate on Iris. If they don't do enough they are useless. If they do too much they are bossy and don't deserve to be in charge. Water off a duck's back. Haters gonna hate no matter what.

The meltdowns over the "We're the Flash" line are pathetic. Characters can lie, betray and murder and they are given a pass every single time. Iris uses a metaphor and she deserves to die or get beaten up

I'm not too worried because she used to get more hate in s1. The producers didn't listen to the vocal haters back then I doubt they are going to listen to them now.

I have to say that I love that Westallen are involved with the big bad of the season. It works better for the show in my opinion. That's one of the reasons why I think Zoom was their weakest villain. He didn't have anything to do with Iris.

THIS. The producers know the Iris hate is irrational and baseless. If they were listening to the haters they would've gotten rid of her in s1, instead she gets promoted to team leader and married to the hero. Also keep in mind the haters are in the minority, Iris and Westallen have a strong fanbase and the media loves them. I choose to focus on that and enjoy the show.
