On Tonight’s episode of The Running Dead…
- Nice forcefield, Cisco! - Poor Cecile is being inundated with fear - Look at Iris trying to save her man. - Well, damn… Barry let Ramsey infect him to save him. - The day is saved… but Iris STILL doesn’t get to have any type of feelings about Barry’s impending death? No sadness? No anger? Just... acceptance? I don't understand what the new showrunner is doing with her. __________________

[rant]First off, let me say that this ep would've been WAY better, if they didn't waste time on Kamilla, Cecile, Frost/Caitlin, & Wells (even though his was used to further the plot, but still...). Those scenes were COMPLETELY unnecessary & should've been cut out & hastily thrown into the trash. Their scenes did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to further the plot, & precious time was wasted on EXTREMELY USELESS characters. That time could've been spent on Iris' POV, but no, we're treated to characters that shouldn't even be on the show. What is so wrong w/showing Iris having emotion (other than anger)? I'm REALLY tired (so very tired) of the Strong Black Woman trope that they have going on.[/rant]
*Deep breath* OK, it was nice seeing Iris & Cisco working w/each other (should do it more often). I was surprised that Barry purposely got infected to take BW down. Didn't see that one coming. His ending was a little abrupt (though I knew he had a short stint); I've a feeling he may be back later this season, or maybe even next season. If only the execution was like last week's ep, this could've been one of the best of the season so far (like Eps. 1, 2 & 7). |
