Hi everyone. This announcement is to inform you that this message board will be closed and moved into the Closed Forums category on April 17, due to a lack of sustained traffic. This board went 48 Hours without a post in December, and it averaged less than 15 posts a day in March, so as I indicated here, where I said that if this board goes without a post for 48 Hours or if it fails to meet the minimum monthly average of 15 posts a day at any time in the next six months, it will be closed, so therefore the Management Team and I have made the difficult decision to close this board. We encourage you to start discussion topics about Penny Dreadful on the Television Forum here at Fan Forum after this board has closed, so you can continue to discuss your favorite television show here. We regret the necessity of having to do this, but we want Fan Forum to be a website with message boards that are busy and thriving, so we can add more boards and build for the future. I feel incredibly guilty over this. This is a great, fun place and I want to thank D, Monika and Tar and all the posters for always making me feel welcome when I stopped by to chat and for doing everything they could to keep the board alive.

I hope there will still be the chance to meet and talk with you all around .

Like Tar said, we've made history and had a great time, I'll never forget our crazy challenge, 66k celebration and everything else. I think others won't either This is what matters.

Thanks again D and Ina and all regular posters, you truly worked hard to keep things going. It hurts even more and I feel even worse about not contributing because the show is only a couple of weeks away from being back on air and I'm sure many posters would've come back/stopped by more often then. I'm truly sorry for not helping.

What's done is done, though, unfortunately.
I'll subscribe to the thread on the Television board and I hope to see many people over there! Even if we'll be back into a smaller "house", we can still make it fun and crazy as we like. (we can use the blue train for the move)

We've talked about it with Ina too and personally I think that we would've been just putting off the inevitable, because once the show goes on the hiatus, the situation repeats itself. So while it's sad to close down right before the new season, in the long run it's also for the best. I don't blame the posters for not sticking around, you guys are busy with your lives and your own boards, and it's hard enough when you're a mod during the hiatus, so I understand why you and others weren't posting.

You're right, it's just that the news is very fresh and I need to get over the impact of the mix of shock and regret, lol.
In the past year it's been hard to find decent time to be online and chat about fandom every day, so I've mostly stuck to the boards I mod, but I kept hoping that would change.
