Possible Board Closure Discussion: Please Read and Respond!
 

I have been thinking about this, and I think that it may be time to close this board. Our post counts have been declining over the past few months and we have very few regular posters. As you know, Fan Forum requires that we average at least 15 posts per day, with lower numbers than that leading to warnings and then possible closure of the board. I would prefer to go out under our own terms rather than be forced to close due to low post counts.

Please let me know what you think. I'd be glad to hear any suggestions or advice to renew interest here. Remember that to keep the board going, we need the commitment of a few regular, dedicated posters. As much as we love this board, please don't just post to "save" the board and then disappear again, because we'll be in the same position that we're in now if you do.

Yikes, I had no idea the board was struggling as hard. I still watch The Mindy Project too. It would be sad to see it go, and I feel bad I haven't posted much on it at all with my love for the show.

I personally would like to post more but not sure how much of a help I would be.

Thanks for your opinion, Jenny. I love this show & this board. It sucks to see not only our board but also our show's fate up in the air.

If we have more posters to come in than just two of us more often then we can able to keep the board as long the show renew it, but if not then I dunno if anyone else will post it if the show won't come back (I hope that I don't jinx it).. But whatever the decision you made, I will support you.. :)

And do we think this show has enough posters to keep a board open or would it be best to have a thread at the Television board & threads at the Couples board? Our episode discussion threads have never really gathered much discussions & the most popular thread here that we have other posters stopping by is Danny/Mindy.

I notice that most popular shows at the Television board/threads that they still talk about the show or the couples.. so I'm sure that it can work out there..

We do have quite a few threads for them indeed. And can always start friendship threads as well if you decide the board should be closed. I hope they do renew for another season.

It looks like they will still drag that decision out for a few weeks & if they do cancel it's possible they shop it to another network or Netflix, Hulu, etc..

^ If they do that then it would take several month or years since that happen w/ Arrested Development..

They are just talking about a possible closure but if we can keep the board more active the board will be fine. If that is what I am understanding. I think if we get another season I will for sure be talking more and more on it because lots of good stuff will be happening.

Yes it isn't a definite thing it is just up for discussion. We just need enough regular posters to keep conversation going & not have to worry if one of us is too busy for the day &worry that the board goes without a post like it has within recent weeks.

Yeah and we need more posters when it comes to a show to talk more about characters as individuals, couples, but not just one couple only..

Yeah.. we're kind of at a stand still. Our posting was better this week with help but only time will tell I suppose. .. idk.
