Yeah I gotta say I'm loving the newer episodes this season... the beginning ones were incredibly painful.

TFTNT!!!

Well, for me they were not just painful, they were also boring!! Seriously, 4x02 and 4x04 were the worst ones of the season so far, I actually cried over the loss of two episodes! And 4x06 is close behind them, although at least Belle's story was a bit more interesting to me than Charming's The premiere at least was a piece of art, I loved every bit of it no matter how painful it was for our baby. But after 4x07 and the double 4x08 have been masterpieces!!!! And I think that we won't be disappointed with the last 3, at least when it comes to how interesting they will be. We may even find a way to bear the last of Frozen's flashbacks, which will be this Sunday...

I hope we do get to see more of the missing year, I just don't expect much until I see it happen. From what I gather, it's not their top priority yet. Plus, missing year equals Zelena, right? They were supposed to be trying to find a way to win against her and then they also fought to gain Charming's kingdom back (from who???). So, we would need Rebecca to return at least for one episode again and there is no word for that out there..

This season has been great disappointment for me so far, there were some great moments especially between Regina and Henry for me and did enjoyed the last episode more than some of the previous ones because more characters that I like were included but still there haven't been any episode that could became one of my favorite, there wasn't episode that I wouldn have any problem with....
But I am also more excited now when it seems Regina is much more included, seeing her just two minutes was torture.

I wouldnt call it a great disappointment for me. I just think that it could have been done better. especially with all the frozen art that just took over half an hour of each episode. that was just a waste in my opinion. it could have been fitted in better and the actual focus should have been on the characters that we gotten to know and love within the first 3 seasons. it almost felt like a spin off on some sorts in which our beloved original characters make guest appearances. So I hope that when this is over they dont make the same mistake for season 4 b.

I personally miss those times when the show was more character driven, more original, unpredictable, made more sense and was focuse on those original 6 or how many characters. But that was season 1 so I probably wants to much.

But even if the storyline with Zelena wasn't perfect, I really enjoyed it and the more for me this season kinda sucks in comparison. I hate how little time the main characters gets, I hate how the whole Frozen arcs is so forced and takes so much screentime, I hate what they doing with Rumple, I hate how they are dealing or rather not dealing with Marian storyline....

I also hope the second half of the season will be better but with so many new characters I am scared.

yeah season one was pretty damn great since we had those original characters and not like 20 we had to get to know and where time was devided between all of them, thats true. that we will never get back I am afraid

yeah it irks me too what they are doing with rumple.

I mean I am obviously happy baout the OQ we have been getting but I agree that the storyline with Marian is just a big mess and handled in the worst possible way.

This pretty well sums up how I feel as well Suz.

I've loved the Robin and Regina stuff, although I'm really ready for the Marian storyline to end. It's been very strange because she's in the story without really being in the story and it's just annoying and I want it over.

I'm a little worried with all the villians for 4b that the screen time issue won't improve, if they intend to give all these villians backstories.

The only thing I hate right now is how much Frozen has taken over. They could have used these characters later on and just introduce the Snow Queen as our villain now, not squeesh 6 new people in a show that already has 9-10 people as a regular cast. We got zero main character flashbacks (no, I don't count the episodes Anna came across Charming, Rumple and Belle, those were just means to add more Frozen into OUAT) and huge focus on a plot and on people that will be over in less than three weeks and will only be brought up again... well, never, judging from how much they have mentioned Zelena or Pan or even Cora or Greg or Tamara etc etc...

When it comes to Marian, we can all agree that the damage was done the mere minute they decided to bring her back. I don't think that a story as complicated as this is one that they would have managed to handle properly, they suck at love triangles, even if it's not really a love triangle, like in our case. Fanfiction writers that only focus on one or two characters are more capable, but these people, the show's writers, they have to develop stories for 20 characters!! They would never find a proper way to deal with Marian anyway..

So, to sum up, I wouldn't call it a disappointment. Most of the episodes were ok, the most recent ones were perfectly acceptable, with the last one being my top on the list (equal screentime for all, it was the first time I didn't mind the Frozen flashbacks or even Emma). I could just do with a lot less Arendelle and more Enchanted Forest or Storybrooke.

As for Rumple, I don't mind what they are doing to him, I always thought he was more power driven than love driven, but I do believe there is a good reason to why he is doing all of this. He lost a lot by being controled by his dagger, most importantly the person for whom he spent his entire life trying to find a way to cross realms, without caring who he would hurt along the way (Regina being his biggest victim IMO): his son. He hurt Belle, only because Zelena told him to. I get why he desperately wants to be freed from it and where this current madness comes from, so until I see how his story unfolds, I won't judge it negatively, because I don't necessarily see it as a setback.

As for the 3 new villains in 4B... I doubt things will get much better, unless their stories are tied to our current cast and not people from other lands, much like the SQ was tied to Elsa. I don't mind watching Cruella's past or Maleficent's or Ursula's, as long as these flashbacks will help develop our regulars more, ie Snow, Regina, Belle, Will and of course Robin... I don't want to see more Emma, I've frankly had enough of her and her story in only these episodes and I definitely don't need more Hook, although I'm sure that's not something we will be able to avoid. We are certainly going to see more of Rumple, but that was never a bad thing. Just don't bring in 3 new villains and have us spend the entire rest of the season watching ONLY their past... I don't think I can take one more round of that.

I am a little worried too. 3 villians is a LOT to handle. I have no idea how they are going to pull that up. I mean one villain already entails that we have the whole season focusing on him or her... but 3? yeah I have no idea how they are going to do it. I guess once again less focus on the chracters we actually would love to see more. I would really like to know what possessed them to add 3 villians. one would have been more than enough.

Seriously, do these men say anything other than their women's names??? I remember the other tiny st Adam shared about ep.8 with Hook yelling "Swan!" So funny!

I almost wished I hadn't seen the promo for 4x10 yet because I keep forgetting that is not for the upcoming episode. My first thought when I saw the script tease was that maybe this was Robin when he sees her as EQ, but wrong episode!
