I agree, it probably won't be anything "evil" just maybe extreme measures to prove her innocence/get her family back but that's just part of it because we'll also love her, root for her and be scared of her

Me too, the plot had me right away. I would watch it no matter who the lead was, though Stana being the lead is a bonus

Definitely, especially after seeing the first promo. I thought if I had seen that and didn't know the lead, I would so watch the show. Yep, Stana being the female lead is just an added bonus.

I'm guessing there'll probably be a point in the season when every character will do things that are questionable to protect themselves.

That's what I'm thinking, while Emily is obviously going to be very layered and doing things we'll hate and love (so I'm assuming bad and good) I do think we'll see a bit of that with everyone, especially Nick.
