episode synopsis

Red (James Spader) directs Liz (Megan Boone) to investigate a secret organization of assassins hired by global intelligence agencies to eliminate former agents, a case with ramifications that will change the Task Force forever. Teddy Coluca, Oded Fehr and Danny Burstein guest star.

Will miss Samar ... she felt like the only REAL female agent in the group. I'm not sure if they think that dressing Liz in black and having her chase random people is supposed to remind us that she's FBI, but nope. Samar was truly a badass agent - they way she was able to work for 3 different groups and still keep ahead of everything was awesome, and her knowledge of tons of different languages, her ability to fit in anywhere. I knew she'd leave Aram in the end for his own good, but now we have Aram going off the deep end and after Red. So, it seems, we might lose him too because what he's doing in the preview seems to scream "Hey, Red, I've got a deathwish."

I knew that when Aram told Levi about Samar's true condition that it was signing Samar's death contract. Aram trusted him, but Levi did what Levi is SUPPOSED to do, what Samar always did, etc. Samar knew she had to keep her real condition a secret, and why. Then Aram blew it. But Aram will blame Red for getting Samar secretly out of the country and safe. Figures.

ETA: This season is big on the ick factor. First the bugs, and now that HUGE snake. Ewww. That actor is amazing for handling that as long as he did, because the moment I heard the word snake and saw that ... thing ... I would just turn around and say, "No thanks!"

I just have to let this sink in for a while. what a rollercoaster this episode was. It was so amazing and emotional. I am going to miss Samar deeply.

So I'm going to start with what I think happens next. I believe only a Red can help Aram thru this and based on the previews i think red is going to wind up forcing Aram to go to Cape May and that Red is going to tell him some of his and Katarina story. I think that will be the only way to reach Aram.

of them all only Red And Samar truly know the danger she's in. Aram does in a way but I don't think he gets the full danger she's in. Maybe the task force doesn't either. They haven't dealt with treachery like Samar and Red. Samar and Red have experience it. So I hope that when Aram has time to think that he will let go of his anger at Red. And right now I think he was just overwhelmed and lashed out at Red. He should have known when Samar split up from him that she was leaving.

Kudos to this show for doing her and them justice. For letting her be vulnerable for letting them love each other for coming up with a unique way for her to leave. Because I never saw this. Coming. Not like this.

And the parallels to cape May Katarina and Red. Omg. Red told Liz this company went after her mother. See Liz he tells you stuff.

And when Red was tells by Levi how he used Aram I wondered if he was talking from experience

I can see this leading into more back story.

And the pills are for Red. Omg Kaplan did more damage to his lungs.

I'm going to miss Samar.

It was great acting from Aram and Samar. I am surprise I didn't see this episode coming. Was it too much to hope for a Happy ending for somebody?

As I was watching several crazy theories came to mind.

1. They brought up the Pharmacists again so I thought she could cure Samar. (actually my theory was Red was having brain problem too and he was going to give up the medicine for Aram and Samar)
2. Red would destroy the Umbrella company or make them target Levi. Of course he would have had to go to war with Mossad to do it. Red is good but not that good. That said I don't think Red would promise it but I have no doubt Red would move heaven and Earth to make Samar safe Maybe by the next season or Season 8 or 9. 10 I can wait...

I could kind of see that there. I wonder if the similarities/parallels are like:
Liz =Katerina
Ressler = Deadington
Aram = Red

The apothecary when Red was poisoned. In that episode the dr says that whoever targeted him had to know his medical history and that his lungs were damaged because they specifically targeted them.

I'm glad Red killed Levi. I do think they if liz had not put Red in jail that Samar might have talked to him sooner and he might have been able to help. When he tells Levi how he tricked Aram. You could just see how furious Red was. How much he loves Aram.

My only problem with this ep and I know it's just tv but Samar should have told Aram why she wasn't telling anyone. Of course if she had we would not have gotten this.

This situation should show liz just how deadly things were for her mother and Red. She should see that they were both desperate. I don't know how it will play out. But the parallel is there. I kind of think Red was tricked like Aram. But then I don't think it either. But Red says Aram will have to live with this all his life. It's like Red knows how that feels

I knew something was coming, as we didn't have good scenes with them for a while, so 2 eppy's on the spin, i thought something was up..

Cooper and the gang trying to do everything they could..

TBH I did think she was going to die, so when Red saved her, it was a good surprise, but still..

I hope in the future Aram will realise what Red did for Samar and they get their friendship back on track..

This made me cry. It's not really happened with TBL before but this sentence of Aram made me cry and it shattered my heart. I can't believe what it must be like for these two. WHY????

So, unnecessary to say that I didn't expect this kind of episode. I didn't expect Samar to leave. When we learned about there being a target on US soil, I knew exactly that it was Samar. Without a doubt. I was so afraid.

Aram... He just wanted to help her, he was fearing for her life and Levi took advantage. He was engaged to Samar at one point of his life but managed to give her as a target to the Company???? What an a**hole! If Red hadn't killed him, I would have done so myself! I hate him so unbelievably much.

But you guys are right, it would have been on Samar to tell Aram why she didn't want anybody to know. She should have done that because all of it wouldn't have happened.

I knew that she would be going to see Red and ask him to hide her... And I knew she would never let Aram come with her. I totally understand that because like you said, Marilyn, I believe Aram nor the other members of the task force understand what danger she is in. She would have brought this danger to him and she loved him sooo much to give him up for his own safety. Wouldn't it be great to get a happy ending at some point, at the end of the show? I would want that so badly. But yeah, might be just wishful thinking but this one will go on my wishlist.

Marilyn, I love your idea on how this will all work out with more history on Katarina and Red. Yes, this really might be the only way to make it right.

I felt really sorry for Red there because he did what she wished for and he tried to convince her otherwise. But he respects her wish. And he wants to protect Aram. He even killed Levi because he was so disgusted by what he did. And still ended up being the vent for Aram. I get it, don't get me wrong, but it was sad nevertheless. Especially Aram telling Red that he'll never forgive him for that. My favorite relationship on the show, totally killed.

I don't know if Red will have flashbacks to Katarina when he talks to Aram. But I know Aram saved him when Liz faked her death. I so want Red to be the one to save Aram. It just has to be him.

Samar and Red are a lot alike. Same types of jobs. Same losses. Same capacity for revenge. they both knew what could and would happen. The others just didn't get it. There's no way they could. I do hope we see her again someday.

I kind of hate she put Red in the middle but he knew how to keep her safe. The govt. could not. I'm also pleased at how Samar was portrayed. I realized that I have been worried that she would be liz 2.0. I'm glad she got a strong intelligent compassionate female storyline

I kept hearing Katarina saying this is my child and I am death to her so this is what I'm doing. This show is leading perfectly to some type of reveal about the past.

Just a thought, but what would be awesome is What if Red gave Samar that box he kept buried at Doms?

I can see there being flashbacks, it would make it even more realistic and touching. I so hope you're right with your theory.

Oh yes, Samar and Red are a lot alike. That's true.

Red did what Samar wanted. He even tried to convince her but in the end he accepted her wish and I think a part of him understood.

I somehow don't believe that Red gave that box to Samar. To Samar he provided the same service he offers all of his clients.

Oh and talking about them, she did work for Red. She was loyal to him.

I am sure that Red made sure that Samar has doctors and everything to help her.

I really do understand why she had to leave and why she left Aram behind but it hurts so much! I loved these two together and now that is all gone.

And I know that Red did it to help them both but Aram doesn't see that now and I totally get that. He just lost the love of his life and he is blaming Red and I can't blame his for that.

I wonder if this company will return. They also were after Katarina. I'm convinced Red wants to destroy them.

I was also thinking they could play into why Liz had to be hidden. If they would go after Samar for being sick, then they would go after a child who could have heard something.
