Yay!

Our 4th of July plans are pretty much a wash, we were supposed to camp, but they are predicting a possible Tropical Storm for that day, so I Don't think we willl be doing much.

It ended up clearning up for tonight so we went to the fireworks and they were fantastic. The wind help dry the ground, and the fact that everybody sits on a hill to watch them, made it not so bad, yeah we still needed a blanket under us so we didn't get wet...but it could have been so much worse, and the wind also kept the bugs away so I guess for tonight, yay for wind.

Overall though, still extremely wet. lots of roads washed out etc.

I'm so glad that you got to see some fireworks! I love them. I'm hoping to go to some tomorrow.
I am still plugging away at cleaning.

The town not too far from here has some of the best fireworks I've seen. Especially for being a smaller town. A few years ago we went to a different town, because they had a concert we wanted to see, their fireworks were nothing to write home about. And it was so funny, we were like, that's it? And the locals were going on about how good they were that year. I was like wow, I'd hate to have seen last year.

I hope you get a chance to see the fireworks.

It was supposed to rain when last night (it didn't)
It has been so nice and quiet. My house is actually pretty clean. My kitchen is amazing, minus the fact that I need to mop the floor. Tomorrow we are going camping for the night.

Sorry to double post, but what a weekend, This is all I can really post right now. Went camping with my 3 kids, my friend, her husband and her son and my husband yesterday. Her husband and my husband drove home to take care of animals and Todd comes back and tells me that the kitchen screen was out and 2 of my cats were missing. Krystal's cat Stinky and Peyton's cat Sofia. We got home today and looked everywhere. We found Stinky sleeping in the barn pretty quickly. Sofia was nowhere to be found. SUddenly we hear loud crying and after about 30 minutes we find her about 30 feet up in a tree and unable to get down. I call my friend, and I am hysterical, and her husband calls his friend who works for a tree company and he came and climbed my tree and got her down.
I just hope she didn't get pregnant while she was out there.

Thank goodness the cats are both okay! It must have been scary. If they did get pregnant is there a way to terminate the pregnancy? I know you can do it with bigger animals...not sure about cats.

This weekend was busy for me too. It went by way to fast.

I think I would probably just continue. It's only Sofia. Stinky is a boy and neutered, so he's safe. She's clearly been traumatized. She wont leave my side.

Todd came home from work early and brought me breakfast in bed. So sweet.

If she's use to being inside I can understand why that would be so tramatic for her, especially if she was up there for awhile.

I feel yucky today and it is so hot. I swore I wouldn't complain about the heat with the winter we had, but it is really hot.

It was like that on Saturday. You just couldn't move it was so hot and muggy. the last couple of days have been pretty decent.

I kept running upstairs and waking Todd up because the only air conditioner is in our bedroom. I wanted to take the kids to the lake, but it seemed to hot to even walk the few feet across the street and there is always a day camp over there now and they take over the beach/water and the lifeguards give them preference. They sent my kids way over where I couldn't even sit near them and turned their backs to my kids to watch the camp kids. Not cool.

Not cool at all. each kid should be treated the same. espeacially with something like that.
