Thanks Sarah, the song has been in my head too That whole opening used to always crack me up for Step by Step by how fakey it is, and how the show was set in a town not too far from where I actually live

He was on The Talk today, I only caught part of the interview, but he was so much fun, a lot of joking around. He tried to tease about the mid season cliffhanger and people in the audience didn't want to be spoiled.

Patrick Duffy is a fine actor and I loved him on Step by Step but as Bobby Ewing, I had problems with his character.

His self righteos, always resorting to violence and threats and his lack of loyalty to his family like when Pamela kidnapped his brother's child made it hard to root for him. His reason for leaving Southfork in Season 3 was silly. JR did the right thing closing that oil well. The Ewings owed Cliff nothing for them to enrich him.

I agree. This Bobby is more understanding and level headed then the Bobby in the original series. Current Bobby isn't afraid to play a bit dirty, which is a nice change, past Bobby was always seated firmly on his high horse and looking down on JR.

This version of Bobby is slightly better than in the original.

I still have not watched the original Dallas. I have the complete DVD collection on my Amazon wishlist and I am hoping my husband remembers to look for Christmas.

They are a great price on Amazon. I have the first 3 seasons...I play to order a season or two each month. I've been waiting for a whole series collection....but nothing yet...they'll wait until I have all or most of the seasons.

IDK if I'll ever get watching the original Dallas. I'm sure it would be a cool experience though.

I grew up watching it with my Dad, it was his favorite show. I think I was about ten when it ended. And I use to watch the reruns...but they don't seem to be showing anywhere right now. Very fun show. I love all the over the top drama.

I still keep hoping that the DVD's will magically show up at my house because I badgered my husband for them. Or that the show will appear in the Netflix streaming catalog.
