Ellen and Justin don't want it to happen either.
One of the main reason why Nathan is better for Meredith is that he challenges her, even calls her on it when she is wrong. Alex gives her free pass on everything. he barely ever call her on it when she does wrong. I feel Alex knows her maybe a bit too much and I believe they'll be boring together as a couple because there is no challenge there. __________________

Yes.. it something that has been since the beginning of the show. 2 originals.. and it's super important to continue to show their closeness and that they do anything for each other.
