Possible Board Closure Discussion: Please Read and Respond!
 

I think that it may be time to close this board. Our post counts have been declining over the past few months and we have very few regular posters. As you know, Fan Forum requires that we average at least 15 posts per day, with lower numbers than that leading to warnings and then possible closure of the board. We would prefer to go out under our own terms rather than be forced to close due to low post counts.

Please let us know what you think. We'd be glad to hear any suggestions or advice to renew interest here. Remember that to keep the board going, we need the commitment of a few regular, dedicated posters. As much as we love this board, please don't just post to "save" the board and then disappear again, because we'll be in the same position that we're in now if you do.

As a mod of the Scandal board since the beginning it´s been so hard for me to take this decision but I think it´s the only way. I prefer to do it this way that to be closed for low posts. I´d like to keep the thread till the end of the serie which probably will be in May but I can´t do it alone. As this will be probably the last time I can do it, I wanna thank everyone who has posted on the board and specially my former comods, @Romantic_In_Denial and @hepmenow, who have helped me to keep this thread alive all this time.

I've always found this rule on this board to be so silly (especially during the Summer when shows are usually on hiatus. I mean if the show is on hiatus there isn't much to talk about) I used to post more but this season I just haven't had much to say about the show. It would be a shame if this board can't stay up till the series ends but whatever happens happens.

I don't watch the show but I do agree it'd be a shame to see a board close for a current show, especially when you're almost at the end. It is holidays so things are likely to be quieter at this time, add in the hiatus it would be limiting (you could discuss past seasons & moments though?). It could be nice for the fans & yourself if the board could make it to the end :). You reached the minimum last month, & the post count rule isn't in affect last month or this month. Perhaps see what happens in January when they resume? You'll also have the episodes resumed by then too

We´ve decided to keep the board open and see what happens. For me it also would be a shame if the board close when the end of the show is almost here (in four or five months) but we need people posting although is only on the games threads.
