Very disappointed that there were no KB scenes at all. They spoke not a word to one another.
Aside for my disappointment in my ship. It would appear that Frary are now pushed apart because Narcisse now holds Francis's secret. The good news is that Greer married Castleroy! You can find my live reblog here. __________________

Yep, this is the start of Frary growing apart.
The set up of the Lola/Narcisse pairing. I've enjoyed the Kenna/Lola scenes in this episode. To my surprise I found myself very bored at Greer, even with the wedding. Narcisse now has leverage on Francis and knows that he killed his father. __________________

I don't know how I feel about this episode. I found myself fastforwarding some scenes and I usually don't do that.
The protestant/catholic struggle could be interesting but so far not so much, although I very much prefer it over the "ghost riders" from ep 2x04. The last scene Hope Mary finds out why Francis had to lie soon so she doesn't believe he thinks that. Another thing I'd like to remark is the incredible acting in the Narcisse/Francis scenes, well done Toby and Craig I loved how Francis realised in a moment how Narcisse was behind everything. __________________

I really liked it. Most of it anyway.
So, there was some boring stuff (sorry, Bash, Leith and Conde... I take naps when you're on screen. Zzzz.) Protestants vs. Catholics. They're trying to make this interesting, but... #snoozeville And there was some SUPER predictable stuff (Castleroy is a Protestant, oh my! Narcisse is the secret amazing lover from the journal. *shock* Narcisse is also the culprit behind the possessed nanny and subsequent blackmailing of Francis. Yeah... no kidding.) But, despite all those things being about as shocking as a snow storm in the winter, I still enjoyed them. The LIWs were super cute this episode. I enjoyed their lightness. Kenna giggling over the journal (and Catherine joining in-- oh yeah, high five Catherine for living your life after Henry's death). Lola being the most un-annoying she's been in a while. And Greer making a BEAUTIFUL bride and stepmother. Best of all, I can't believe Castleroy gave her an OUT. He offered to take care of her sisters even if she broke off their engagement and SHE MARRIED HIM ANYWAY!!! Excuse me while I SQUEEEE! No seriously, if I didn't already adore PepperGreer I would be far gone after this. So cute! Finally, back to the Frary perfection. They were amazing throughout the episode, working together and agreeing. Francis was distracted by his "haunting" drama, but was still himself. But, the second he stopped being himself--the second he laid down the law in a very un-Francis-like way and made a decision that Mary knew he would never willingly make... well, she knew it. She KNEW something was wrong and she persisted until he had to give her something. It's unfortunate that she offered up her biggest fear as the solution and he jumped on it willingly, because breaking her heart was far better than having her head on a pike next to his. LORDY LORD, what these two do to me. The aaaaaaaaangst!!!!!! That means I Loved it. Capital L. You know that, right? Toby and Addy make my heart being shredded into a painfully enjoyable experience. I can't wait for next week. CAN'T WAIT. |

I was hoping ghost Henry to be real, not a ruse.
And Narcisse really wants power over Francis. Holding by his neck with what happened to Henry and then now, moving on to Lola, so that he can also hold the king's child near him. Right? Or am I reaching too far into the plot? Also what's the name of the kid again? And he wasn't anywhere in this episode? Its starting already, they gonna bench the kid in favor of sexing Lola and Narcisse. ---------- Also what happened to the three horsemen? They found their fourth, right? That's why, they aren't there anymore? And Conde's too clear of a prong mark. It looked fresh and painted anew. When was he branded? ----------- And Greer wanting to protect Castleroy as he has protected her was beautiful. __________________

Greer was a stunning bride. She looked beautiful. I'm glad that she married Castleroy. He's an honorable man who loves her deeply.
Narcisse is one nasty piece of works and Francis is a naïve fool who made things worse by lying to Mary and making her feel bad for losing their baby. In that respect he's a bit like his dad. How much did Catherine suffer before she got pregnant with Francis? Maybe he should have remembered his mother's suffering before hurting Mary. Besides, Mary would have understood his actions. She and Catherine were ready to poison Henry to save France. Why does he think that she wouldn't have supported what he did? Did I understand correctly? Is Catherine being a vixen and having flings with some of the noblemen in court? Good for her. You go girl!!! Lola deserves better than Narcisse. They should pair her with Conde. I think that Narcisse and Catherine would be a much better pairing, not in love but in lust. Neither would trust each other, but the intimacy would be mind blowing. They are both passionate people who would continue to plot and vie for power, regardless of their romps in bed. They have the potential of being as much fun as Catherine and Henry were in Season 1. Lola would be eaten alive by someone as devious as Narcisse. |

Second of all I still have my doubts as far as Narcisse is concerned, I actually don't think he's gonna turn out as bas as they want us to believe. I was surprise about how much he and Lola's interactions are a breath of fresh air (looks like I'm not the only one thinking it because people over twitter and tumblr are loving it). They both bring diferents sides of each other and you goota admit that spicy Lola is the best. The way she told him that she doesn't like him was awesome. Plus Craig and Anna have crazy chemistry. I'm all for this pairing, let's see what happens next. I'm super excited. But don't worry about Catherine, she'll also get some loving with another dude at some point. __________________

The Nanny... I was completely surprised Narcisse was behind that. I thought she played that part very well. Quite the long ruse for Narcisse to carry on. And the maid played that so well and knew so much personal stuff 're: Henry. I was completely floored.
And since I was so naive to Narcisse before, I must now believe he has to be playing Lola just to get to Francis's son. Yes they have chemistry, but I'll never trust that man again. I hope Mary learns the truth behind what Francis said to her. So painful for both of them. Mary's black dress. Was she wearing that because she was in mourning from losing her child? Otherwise, I wasn't a big fan of it. Adelaide had long hair in season 1, right? Most of her scenes were with her real hair right? Now she has to use a wig or extensions for queen Mary since she has short hair now, and I miss her real hair. They seemed to do so much more with it. Now they always style it the same. But then again, she is supposed to be young. The long and straight definitely gives the idea of young. Conde was FINE in this episode. I got excited to see Wordy from "Flashpoint" guest appear in thisp episode. Of course, he played a mean guy, buy it was good to see him. |
