Wow. I don't even know where to start. So much happened.
Catherine had all her ships working for her tonight. Chrisrophe: I still can't really ship it, but this just got more interesting. I think there is more to his story still that we don't know. He is better when she's around. If they actually "cure" him I will be so posses though because that's completely unrealistic. Narcisse: She said she won't trust him again, which means she likely will. I hate that, but he is actually telling the truth for once...which is weird. The one time he tells the truth is the only time she doesn't believe him. Oh boy. Bash: What was that look he gave her? He seemed jealous. But that can't be...can it? The writers wouldn't. Would they? But then the second scene in her room. I could not get a read off of Bash. Was he mad? It was hard to tell, but it sure was intense. Catherine is in every kind of trouble a person can be in and all at once. I can't even begin to figure out how she'll get out of any of it and usually I have a pretty good guess. Speaking of intense, that play was creepy, but Online the idea of it. It's so very historically accurate that Catherine would have a play happening. Finally, they show some of her more realistic traits. Now let's just see her with a crossbow. Mary and Gideon. No. Just no. Too soon. And that conversation she had about him with Catherine was weird on her end. Even Catherine looked concerned. That's not good. Elizabeth: She was a tiny bit more interesting this time. I think Rachel is falling into place finally. I still don't really care for her story line, but it felt more like it fit this time. Lola is still an idiot. She misses Narcisse....uuggg why do these supposedly smart women keep falling for his nonsense? __________________

I still haven't processed everything that happened in this episode.
I'll just get it out of the way, first... Mary and Gideon. I was literally screaming NO the during the entire scene. It physically hurts. It's only been seven episodes since we lost our Francis. SEVEN! I don't freakin' care that Francis wanted her to love again, and Catherine gave her "permission." It's way too soon. I am DESPERATELY trying to interpret it all in a way that makes it NOT a betrayal of Francis' memory. However, as I was watching it, that's certainly what it felt like. Her conversation with Catherine later was definitely strange, but it actually made me feel a little better. At least it's clear that Mary is confused about WHY she slept with Gideon. Did she do it to seduce him because she needed his help? Is that why she feels conflicted and guilty? I'm sure she genuinely cares for him and is attracted to him, and she feels guilty about that as well. What a mess. And why does every man Mary meets seem to fall in love with her and KILL for her. Was Gideon killing his valet Jeremy with his bare hands supposed to prove that Mary can trust him? Am I supposed to swoon? All I can say is that the scene did not compare in ANY way to Frary sexytimes. Catherine's warning to Mary that she should "enjoy" Gideon but never trust him... This is NOT GOOD AT ALL. Christophe: She sends him away and he comes right back to her - claiming that he is "so much better" with her. I don't know what to think. He seemed genuinely concerned that she was hurt when the "Red Knights" came. But seriously... he admitted that he is not able to stop killing. It would be so stupid if she was able to "cure" him. Narcisse: His scenes with Catherine in tonight's episode were very entertaining. It was so fun seeing Catherine have the upper hand, and Narcisse scrambling to prove his loyalty to her. I cheered when she told him she would never trust him again... but I suppose you're right, Amanda. That may mean that she will trust him again eventually. At least he is telling her the truth this time. Bash: I love that he noticed Catherine's reaction during the play and went to her to find out what was wrong. The scene in her chambers was very intense, and I wasn't sure how to read Bash, either. He did seem pretty upset. I can't believe they are throwing ANOTHER crisis at Catherine right now. Thank God she is Catherine and she can handle it. I don't know how she'll get out of it all, but I know she will. I really liked the play! It was not only historically accurate, but it was very dramatic and creepy. Those masks are the stuff of nightmares. Liz: I was intrigued by Elizabeth's storyline in this episode. Poor Liz is so heartbroken. Rachel is really making me feel sympathy for her. Planning to marry off the man she loves to her rival, so that he can LIVE. I can't imagine. It was pretty clever of Liz to name Mary as her successor, though. The Vatican's response was also clever. (Yikes) It will be interesting to see how both Mary and Elizabeth survive this. This chess match is just beginning. I'm still enjoying the growing friendship between Lola and Elizabeth (even though I fear it might hurt Mary). They are bonding over their loneliness and heartbreak. Greer: HOW DOES MARY NOT REALIZE SHE IS PREGNANT YET? __________________

Wow, sorry fans but Mary and Gideon quite literally gross me out. I don't even have the energy to say anything else.
..On second thought, I do have something to add: if Robert goes to France and falls in love with Mary, that's the deal breaker for me. Not even curiosity for Catherine's fate will persuade me to ever watch again. __________________

All I can think about is the pathetic love scene with Mideon. What was that? There was more passion in their prior kiss.
Perhaps they were trying to make it as lame as possible as to not offend. Eventually I'll need to rewatch the episode, but I'm definitely not ready to watch Mideon in bed anytime soon. __________________

Well I can really say I was not expecting that! I saw them kiss and I was like okay?? and then that and I was like "wait. no. what's... really??" And then the discussion with Catherine at the end (when they walked past the balcony that Francis kissed Mary on ) was very strange/sad. I totally agree with Keri that it made me feel a bit better but the fact that Mary slept with someone just for politics is disconcerting. And Gideon killing that man was insane!! That did not make me like him more, that made him so creepy!! I don't even know what I think about this storyline although I know it won't last.
Greer needs to tell Mary that she's pregnant! She was so sad that Greer didn't want to come with her and now every single one of her friends has abandoned her. I wish she would confide in Mary. As for the other stuff, poor Catherine, she's going through so much. Christophe is creepyyyy. Can't say I'm mad about all the batherine scenes __________________

Perhaps she rushed it with Gideon, but as Mary said herself, what choice did she have. I actually quite liked the guy, till he killed, but then again what choice did he have!
You know my love for Francis, but I can accept Gideon as long as he does indeed stay by Mary's side. Now Elizabeth. She never seemed much in control, and not just in this episode. She's still naïve and inexperienced in intrigue, surprisingly so. She needs to get up to speed soon if we're to believe she's the queen who ruled England for decades! __________________

I loved Catherine's advice but I also hated it because I know that Mary can't do it. She can't enjoy him and not trust him, she will fall in love with Gideon, she already is imo she is not Catherine, maybe she will be some day but now I don't think she can take that advice as it really is
It felt WEIRD, it felt RUSHED can't they leav eher without a man for some time? Why do they have to bring her together with another man so soon Didn't like it at all, no chemistry, nothing.. I felt nothing.. Can we all talk about CHRISTOPHE coming back because he "missed her" and then saving her from that guy and asking if she is hurt and helping her up. He might be a killer but he is a sweet and hot killer Also this storyline with the knights is wow how do they come to such ideas? The next episode seems to be all about them, I'm so excited. Poor Catheirne, is there anyone else who will try to kill her and take revenge? also, I'm liking Elizabeth way more than I thought I would, maybe because I think she is a good team with Lola. I like them together. Finally I'm actually starting to be interested in Lola's character, since I really didn't care about her before she went to England __________________

I wonder if the 13 knights are the same group that tried to frame Catherine? If not, then there are two groups trying to crush her in addition to Narcisse and potentially Christophe.
