Ok frm what I read on twitter there are some really great Matherine scenes, them working together is what people likes from what I see it makes me happy they are working together though!

Catherine didn't wanted to go out of her chambers for 3 weeks because she was so broken Mary helped her!

But omg omg she gave Narcisse a BJ whyyy Catherine, whyyy him !?!? so many younger sexier better man there and you find Narcisse for this, but they said she had sex with someone else too... seems like it's her way to deal with pain and sadness

Ok this weeks review.

I wasn't as sad as I thought. It's probably because I've been preparing myself for the inevitable but Francis was missed. I did approve of the show's heavy inclusion of him despite not having his actual presence. I only wish to have seen more mourning from his siblings. It felt like another day for them. I'd be still crying my eyes out 3 weeks later.

I did enjoy the minor Bash/Charles scene. Both brothers taking out Francis's horse for a ride was much appreciated. I only wish that there was more Bash throughout. But it was nice seeing him look out for Charles and to give his support.

Claude/Leith-I must admit I've been on the fence about them because I loved Greer/Leith and hoped they could eventually make it work but tonight Cleith have won me over. Claude's fake etiquette lessons for him were cute. That entire dance scene was adorable times ten. I can understand Leith's reluctance to push forward with Claude considering how he was burnt the last time he loved above his station. I genuinely hope that things will work out if he decides to take that plunge with the princess. Claude is very strong willed and I think she'd fight harder for Leith than Greer ever did.

Catherine. Catherine. Catherine-girl, I know you're hurting but it was good to see you start to fight with Mary at your side. I hope she takes that counsel of by the balls and fight for not only Charles but for Francis memory and wishes. I don't know what to say about random hook up. It seems so below a former queen. I didn't like the scene with Narcisse. I felt icky. And the fact that a newly married man suggested that she 'finish the job'. Disgusted. But I knew Lola would pay for the stupid decision of marrying that man. You jump in the snake pit, you better believe you'll get bit Lola. Ugh, then Narcisse acting noble when Lola agreed to compromise. Of course after you got the dirty dirty from Cat you're all satisfied with wifey. He needed to be stabbed with a hot poker. I do look forward to Catherine taking him down once and for all. He deserves it for all of his misdeeds that started long ago with Francis.

I felt bad for Mary. It was very clear that she's pushing this for Francis. She doesn't want to let him down. His last wishes are paramount to her entire universe right now. Without it, she would crumble. That was tough seeing Francis clothes being put away and Mary taking his wedding attire. Ugh show. Not nice to the heart. But I did admire Mary putting France first and the regency by puling the French troops from Scotland. I don't think Mary of yesteryear would've done that. She probably would've fought Catherine tooth and nail.

I thought Charles offer to Mary was very kind and Francis like. I know he's young but I think he'll make a great King. He seems to learning as he goes, naturally. It's going to take time. He had lord Greniaie(sp?) pegged. I for sure thought he was falling for the charms of that man but it was good to see that Charles wasn't. I'm glad he went to Mary for help finding out what the lord was up to. I'm not usually deep into the history of these people and the royal customs or whatever. But why doesn't the regent position automatically go to a family member of Charles? Could someone answer that? I'm just thinking more in terms of a parent child/relationship. If my minor child was underage to perform a duty, I would think it's my responsibility or someone else I approved of.

England-yeah. Still not interested. I'm finding myself very unaware of what's actually going on there because I don't care. I know Elizabeth was very important to Mary's story but I'm not interested as of now. Elizabeth spouts the same crap over and over again. I want to take Mary down. I want to be with you to married Robert. Wash, rinse, repeat. Even his wife's desperate antics are getting old. Now she's fake sick? Lawd. I almost want to lose my head listening to it.

I just can't say enough about Mary and Catherine. They fought for each other. They comforted each other. They sacrificed for each other. Simply wonderful.

CLEITH! They are just too precious. She lied about setting him up with a noble woman just so she could spend more time under the guise of teaching him how to be a "gentlemen." The dance lesson was the cutest! I love how she argued with him and explained that she is NOT Greer. She is a princess, and she will follow her heart. And the KISS!!!! This ship has SAILED! They will break my heart, but right now I'm ok with that.

I was so proud of Charles! He was smart and loyal, and helped Mary and his mother secure Catherine's regency. He wasn't fooled by that creepy Lord's attempts to buy him with gifts. And I loved his scene with his big brother Bash. I really hope we get more of those two together. Bash would be such a great mentor for him. They took Francis' horse out for a ride.

Bash was the one who noticed that there was a "problem" with Catherine. (YAY Basherine! ) And I love that it was he and Mary who went to Catherine to get her to move past her grief and fight for her regency. I can't believe that Catherine had stayed in her chambers for 3 weeks. Poor poor woman.

The fact that Catherine did... you know... with Narcisse is upsetting. But at least we know that she is only using him for his privy council vote, so she can secure the regency. Then she's determined to ruin his happiness. Narcisse is just...disgusting. Asking Lola to be more "adventurous" and assertive in the bedroom and then letting Catherine do...that. Gross. It actually makes me feel sorry for Lola (even though she should have known exactly what she was getting into. ) Catherine's "love" scene with that young servant, Christoph, was pretty hot. But I can't help but think it was simply a reaction to her grief...a way to feel alive again after losing her son. It definitely was beneath her.

Ok...so I really want to like Elizabeth and Robert. I want to root for them. But the back and forth between them is getting tedious. Every other scene that they are in together, one of them is saying "it's over" while the other one is desperately trying to convince him or her that it's not. Anyway...I still like the chemistry between the actors, so I'll be patient. How smart was Amy Dudley, though? Elizabeth names Amy "keeper of the swans" to bring her and Robert back to court. But then Amy seduces a doctor into giving her that fake diagnosis and manipulating/guilting Robert into going with her to Cornwall for treatment. Pretty brilliant.

It looks like Elizabeth is really going after Mary now - attacking her birthplace in Scotland, and then naming that creepy criminal as Nicholas' replacement as ambassador to France. I can't believe she told him to seduce Mary!

That's about it... I mentioned most of my "Frary" feels on the Frary thread. It was just so great seeing Mary fight to keep her promise to Francis and sacrifice for France. When she finally placed the coat that Francis wore at their wedding in the trunk and said she was "ready" to greet suitors (Don Carlos), it was so heartbreaking. I know I should want her to move on, but... it hurts so much.

I loveed Charles and Bash, and also Bash with Matherine. Finally he is involved in their sl

Cleith is just adorable! I love them! As a Greith shipper I thought I wouldn't but I did since S2 already! They are amazing! The dance was so sweet and the kiss scene!

As for Catherine and the random peasant.. Well why not I think he will be there for longer, not just one episode! Queen or not, she's a woman guys and she admitted in s2 already that she slept with.. Lord Aris and knew about the book of tue best lover

I can't wait for her to ruin Narcisse, basically I have an idea: Christophe killing Narcisse for Catherine

Eta: he didn't just let her do it, he asked her to "finish it" ugh I haaate him

I know the show must move Mary forward but I'm still not liking it. I feel like they should've given her more storyline fighting alonside Catherine and helping Charles adjust. She doesn't need a man for that. But in a way, I guess that I get it. She has a country to protect and with that comes responsibility. She almost needs a new husband immediately to secure herself. It just sucks.

That's true, she has tomarry but not because she needs a man or love so soon, it's because she has responsibilities as queen I doubt the thing in the promo
Is something serious though

Yeah, Mary is back to acting out of duty rather than following her heart. It really does suck.

Wow. So glad Catherine was actually using Narcisse and not actually still wanting to be with him. Also, that fire tending guy is hot...go Catherine.

The Mary and Catherine stuff was so touching. They were willing to give up everything for each other.

Mary and Charles are cute.

Bash being worried about Catherine and telling Mary to check on her was cute.

Cleith was cute.

All in all it was a damn good episode. Dare I say it's actually better without Francis. I never thought I'd say such a thing. Seems insane.

The only thing I dislike is Elizabeth. I just can't bring myself to care.

While I continuously wonder if Bash is even a main character anymore on this show, at least this time they gave him scenes important to the main plot, one could say he is the one who instigates the events of this episode by looking after Charles and noticing not only Lord Grenier being a possible issue but also Catherine's despondent behavior

It's nice to know that even if he seems to be relegated to behind the scenes, Bash is still keeping an eye on his family and the future of France - the nobles may keep nice patronizing faces to him thinking Bash isn't capable of much threat without Francis around but they seem to forget that the bastard brother of the King is still brother and family, he may not have power but he will find people with power

This week Mary seems to have taken the CSI title from Bash tho with her little investigation, and it's good to see Charles showing some smarts in recognizing the intentions that Grenier has. It shows that he had great capability to be a good king when he gets older. Him and Mary working together is quite sweet, that at least shows that even if the formal alliance between France and Scotland is broken, the personal bond will still remain

Claude and Leith are very adorable, I think they make a good ship

Narcisse and Lola however, I don't even know, just end it pls, Lola deserves someone better, can someone get Julian/Remy back? Or if not, maybe Bash then? I mean, Bash did promise to protect baby John, and there was at one point that seemed like back in season 1 that Bash and Lola could have been a thing

Catherine is always awesome in being a badass, but it's nice to know even badasses need some motivation sometimes, everyone working together to get her that regency, it's good to see the teamwork

I still don't care about England, that time is better spent honestly on more Bash

I watching some season 1 yesterday and I definitely got the feeling that was the direction the show was heading with Bash/Lola. If Kenna is not coming back, I'm definitely down for this. It has loads of potential especially with seeing Bash raise John for his brother.

Speaking of, shouldn't that little guy be walking by now? I wonder when we'll see him next. It would be a nice scene for Catherine and/or Mary seeing him walking outside of the castle. He's the only piece of Francis left.

God, is Francis missed. I yawned my way through this episode, only waking up whenever Cleith and Catherine were on screen.
Ade was good at crying in the Matherine scene, but since I hardly buy any of Mary's feelings after last year, it didn't particularly touch me. Like some of you said, it wasn't even as sad as we'd expect it to be. The Tudors spent an entire episode depicting Henry's grief over the loss of Jane, and it had 8 episodes that season.
