Tania, I do agree with your addendum to what I said. I wasn't meaning it should have happened in 16. More it's something that should happen at some point. Lol, we're sharing some part of a brain today! Because, yeah, that was more of something I'd like to see, not a gripe about the prior episode. __________________

Not a big fan of some of the comments toward the end of the last thread. Let's keep it civil around here. Thanks.

Yes the last episode really brought Francis back to life, his interaction with Bash was awesome. But before that I was frustrated with his mantra 'Bash betrayed me, I love you Mary'. The moment he mentioned how him and Bash used to sneak away, I was like, there's Francis why has he been hiding under a rock , come out please! |

It is interesting that Francis mentioned how Bash and him would avoid the Queen of the day festivities hen younger, and now they are pretty much stuck with the Queen of the day . __________________

I think the next couple of episodes we'll see Francis shine as he protects his country and family from his father's madness. I think him realizing that the day of him becoming King isn't just in the far future it's nearing. And that will really allow us to see that side of Francis from early on in the season.
Bash will focus on the darkness as master of horse and hunt, and Francis will no doubt enlist his help with their father. To protect their family, their brothers etc. Bash is instinctively protective so I think he will grow to care for Kenna as she is his wife. Is it bad I want taking care of Henry just to be the brothers (and maybe Catherine) I do not want Mary involved. It can be their dirty little secret It seems more likely that the brothers will move forward in their lives together, as brothers. It's looking good. __________________

Actually, their protectiveness of those they care about is a common trait between them. How they differ is how they go about it.
Bash is instinctive, action sometimes even before thinking. Pushing the peasant I think is a great example. Gonna say again I don't actually blame him for doing it, though it was a horrible act. Francis is more strategic. He thinks and plans and tries to work things through before he acts. That's just how he is, eps 3 & 4 are both good examples of this. The fact that there are differences even in their commonalities is what makes them interesting and let the audience see that the writers really have made efforts to write two distinctive characters with them. __________________

I want FB to stay brotherly, and that won't happen if MB happens again. I'd say FB would be irreparable at that point. Quote:
I would argue that if left to her own devices, Mary is more like Bash. That's how everything got so out of whack. Mary acted rashly, completely running on emotions, without stopping to think about the repercussions of her actions (something Bash does often). Bash fed her recklessness and encouraged it, while Francis tempers it and balances it out. |
