I equally loved and hated that scene.... loved that she was true to Francis and their love and took the action as she could... sad that she was put in that position at all...

Yes, it was so satisfying to see Mary avenge Francis' death, yet so devastating that she had to do it.

And the fact that Francis died because of something that neither he nor Mary had anything to do with makes it even more painful.

I think I will go with #12 this round. The quote is not as meaningful out of context, and the angst of that scene kind of taints it.
