Exactly. That's why I think that changing things up can work out in a good way. Even if it may be hard to see or you may not always agree with each creative choice made

I'll put this in tags for anyone who hasn't read the books -

It is one thing for royal families to push marriage, & I respect that they've got old-fashioned views, but that doesn't make it right & Lissa is still a child. She's not an adult & I think it is a disgusting storyline. Same with what Eddie's father does to him. Let them be children, worry about forcing the marriage to extend bloodlines until after they at least finish school! I presume Lissa is about 16 & I'm sorry but that's too young. Especially to force her into a marriage which will presumably then be pushed into a marriage that needs to produce an heir. You just know that'll be their next issue. She dies Dragomir bloodline is gone even if she is married. So it all makes me go nope, let children be children. At least Adrian gave her the list of other options not just who she was being forced to marry. That opens her mind up & she wouldn't be wrong to turn around & say she's marrying Christian for love (or lust & interest) not just a marriage of convenience. But I still want the book saving storyline over this marriage one

What probably throws me also is that I don't remember the books pushing that sort of thing?

There are countries that force children into marriage, probably still force bloodlines in royals too. I don't follow royal families of various countries though. British seemed to stop that & learn from mistakes but they did used to do it.

there are real 30 year olds not ready to get married...I guess it all depends on the individual.
Marriage is tough at any age actually...ask my late grandma

Everyone is a unique individual. Good on her if she is ready at a young age, but also good on her if she's not. She should be supported for that not pushed into something
