It is, very sad.
I'm glad they were able to salvage some of the books and weapons at least. And the Seigbarste Gift I was so worried about.  I'll bet the old camera and projector might be restored by Monroe, but they're probably not necessary. Sifting through the debris might be a good project for Rosalee at some point. __________________

Nothing else would've had the impact.
Anyway, Bitsie tweeted that it was a blessing for the camera crew. They had a hard time filming the interior scenes. __________________

Hi, I need a little gardening and neighbor relations advice. My neighbor yesterday, after sunset, complained about the peonies flower bed at the end of my yard. It was getting a bit weedy including some thistles. No weed had started to bud or flower. I noticed it earlier in the week myself and had planned to address it this weekend. Anyhow, she was pretty upset about it and even asked if she could pull the weeds.  I said okay but I was uncomfortable about it since she is elderly and frail. At near dark last night, I decided to tackle the problem and pulled most of the weeds so I didn't have to worry about her trying to do it. Even though the ground is moist here, of course, a few did break at the base.Anyhow, after work I went and got weed mat and bark and figured I'd put this down to make it look better and help with the weeds. This evening she saw me putting the bags out by the bed and came out. She was upset and said I cut the weeds off and didn't pull them. Next she said the mat and bark wouldn't help at all.  I was pretty upset and said I thought this would please her and look good. She was still against it...I said I didn't know what else to say and left. Frankly, I kept these flowers and bed because she said she liked them when I moved here 2 years ago. My experience is weed mat will help...it won't fix everything. Anyone else have any suggestions? If nothing else thanks for listening to my whine. |
