As said before I'm a huge fan of Terry Pratchett and had read the book the film is based on. So I watched it as a fan of his work, slightly worried that it wouldn't quite work. But it was a wonderful adaptation of a terrific book. Lots of lovely easter eggs for the Pratchett fans but you didn't need to have read the Discworld books in order to get the jokes and follow the story (although I definitely recommend you read all of the Discworld!!!)

The makers were very careful with the Pratchett heritage and still created something that will please both fans and also those who never heard of Pratchett. It's easy to dive in.

Favorite quote from the film has to be... ""If you don't turn your life into a story, you just become a part of someone else's."

You don't need to be familiar with Pratchett's books to enjoy it, but there's plenty of Discworld in jokes and cameos to keep fans engaged

I had so much fun whilst watching Imaginative, witty, smart, and yes absolutely fun! A rare combination with children's animation of recent. Then again I am not watching a lot of animated stuff...

Don't go expecting Disney or Pixar; not Prachett's style. It's funny and deeper than you think a cartoon about talking rats and a cat could be. See it with an open mind. And highly recommend the book. And Terry Pratchett. Loved the rats and glad the chicken won.

Disney or Pixar also often feels the same and this was something different.

This movie sparks the excitement of animated features outside of the realm of Disney or Pixar or DreamWorks. Hope to see lots more Pratchett adaptations by the same people, please!
