Until 8x03 we were still optimistic but then the spoilers appeared and this thread basically became the GOT rant thread.

Pretty much, E4 heavily set up that they were going to force a bunch of nonsense into the plot last minute. I didn't even feel sad reading the spoilers, it was kind of an "of course it'd be something that stupid" feeling. GOT fully died in E4 of S8 for me.
