this episode made me think everyone is going to die. or at least more than half of these characters. a lot of these interactions seemed to be closing arcs of these characters. i think the next episode will be another red wedding and i am not ready for it

This episode feels like a calm before the storm. I liked it.

I think episode 3 and 4 will be one big fighting battle scene.

No Cersei this episode. I wonder what she is up too. Her absence is also a calm before the storm thing.

Still no Mellisandre.

This show is nerve wrecking - in a good way. But also very intense.

also can we talk about the group hanging around the fireplace it was essentially a group of the most honorable soldiers/generals in the book. it was a bunch of one time enemies just at peace with their pasts.

And besides I think Bran doesn't really to the "talking thing" any more. He is the raven, he is mysterious and he doesn't see the need to explain himself. Does that make any sense?
It makes sense but I still think they could have included a short explanation scene. Only a minute at least.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the episode overall. Definitely seemed like they wanted to give certain characters some semblance of closure to their arcs. The scene with Brienne was definitely a highlight as was the scene between Tyrion and Jamie. Some of the more comedic moments were kind of weird. And the Bran/Jamie and Jon/Dany scenes were perhaps a bit anti-climatic but perhaps fitting given the situation.

I would say Dany, Jon and Sansa are safe because they haven't resolved the tension between them. Gendry was safe until Arya tapped that. Grey Worm died the moment he made plans for retirement. Jorah is so dead. Brienne and Tormund go the way of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Theon and Jaime could go defending Bran, the one character they have wronged the most. And my guess is the episode ends with Bran/Three eyed ravens death.

do you think all dragons will die so that the magic dies out?

I have a feeling they will go that route...Plus if they still have dragons when they have to deal with Cersei,it might be too easy for Dany and co.I do hope I'm very wrong on this btw.

Just started watching the new eppy, dany came off a bit annoying in the trial scene, but I can understand her anger towards tyrion, either he dumbed down a lot or he's a traitor, I wouldn't trust him either.

It seems also interesting how nobody seemed to have realized that the night king has a dragon too even though bran said that in the first episode (ser davos says "we have dragons we have an advatage")

Also that fireplace scene was hilarious.

I'm glad we got at least a little jora and lyanna mormont scene, but don't like we still got no dany and arya scene.

They also are welcomed with the news that part of the wall was turned down and that the NK with his army is now on their side and not a single reaction or deep discussion about it.
Yeah the writing this season is lacking a bit the logic it used to have.

If all of these characters plus the dragons die next eppy I'll be so pissed that 'll probably not finish watching the show, bc it will dead for me. No purpose left tbh (well besides watching the few remaining characters kill each other).
