I can't express enough how much I adore Lady Olenna and how much I wiahs she was around longer to advise Dany. One of the most powerful women in Westeros would have been such fantastic guidance. I believe Olenna's advising is the reason Margaery was so beloved by the regular civilians as they were so close, she could have helped Dany learn to win over the people.

I hated how easily she was defeated. She went out giving Cersei the finger, but still. She's the only one who gave Dany good advice, although it was stupid to burn the food supply. Dany could have won last season if it weren't for stupid Euron, the magical Gary Stu with tons of plot armor.

Yes it was pretty ridiculous she lost given the tyrell army was one of the biggest after the lannister army. And together with dorne the tyrells could easily defeated the lannisters and conquered kings landing on their own.

The only reason Euron got away with it was because they wanted to kill the Sand Snakes and punish Ellaria for what she did. They could have done that without being so stupid. Olenna should have fallen in a different way. Same with High Garden.
