As for actor reactions to S8, I take them with a grain of salt. The actors spent a huge amount of time invested in this. I firsty saw Nathalie in Hollyoaks, which I only had on in the background when I was a teenager and didn't think much about it...GOT made her famous. Especially the ones who were very young when they first began it, they have rose tinted glasses and a personal attachment. Most of them can't see it from the audience perspective.

If they're actors with some taste then also from an actor's point of view a lot of the script of season 8 was not very itneresting or challenging. Also the story is the story, I mean actors, at least those I stan are also humans and have a human perception of a story too all in all at least.

I think many of them just had the issue most people nowadays have, they never nor listen to what people tell, they just assume what people mean and twist it into something that fits their own personal narrative in order to attack people, happens in the political discourse all the time too. I think some of the actors saw fans' criticism towards the writers as personal attack on them and felt like bitching around then, not even realizing they sounded like complete fools, bc they likely just got the info about the criticism through others. And they totally failed to actually read what the fans had to say, bc they were either to lazy or too vain to look it up.

I think it's why some of the older actors have been a bit more willing to be critical, like Charles Dance and Conleth Hill. They have been acting for longer and can see things from a different perspective.

With the others it probably doesn't help that D&D, who have been the bosses for like a decade, keep just saying the backlash is people sulking because their favourite character didn't win or whatever, "can't please everyone". And it is hard for them to not take the criticism personally as GOT was their first huge project that made them world famous. I still think they could handle it better, Emilia has been perfect imo, but I can see where the defensiveness is coming from even if I don't agree.

Well they really should not be listening to what their boss is saying and seeing it as their only thruth as if they were in a cult and he their cult leader and isntead look for facts, then again with trump and other people nowadays and their supporters it seems many people are in literally in a cult nowadays.

Btw I couldn‘t remember thar natalie was in the maze runner films.

I never watched Maze Runner but I knew she was in. Maybe I should watch one day but the trailers remind me at Divergent and I wasn't too impressed by the movies.

Yes it's a bit like divergent, but think I kinda prefer it over divergent.

Agreed, I don't agree with it I just get why it happens. People get emotionally attached to something and defend it even when it is clearly wrong.

I get they are very hurt by reviews and try to defend it - but let's be honest, some **** like season 8 - there is no sense in defending it.
