I wish that the episode followed up on Daisy instead of ignoring what happened to her. She was tortured - again - like she was in the Framework, but it didn't follow up on her afterwards. I'm hoping it doesn't gloss over what happened to her like it did with her being sold into slavery, where people were angry for an episode and then they had to forget about it.

I hated, HATED what they did with Fitz in the Framework last season. Fitz is my favourite character, and that whole arc was incredibly painful to watch, and just got progressively worse as the arc went on.
And then, even when they got out, they never properly addressed what happened to Fitz. There was never any proper resolution for all that pain he went through, he was and still is traumatized by the whole thing. So I was not impressed to see that the Doctor was back for this ep in the promos. But at least, I thought, maybe we'd finally get a bit of closure, that Fitz would get some closure. He could face his fears and save the day. But no. Instead, they just dug the hole EVEN DEEPER! Because now instead of him doing bad stuff in the fantasy world of the Framework unaware of the real world, now he's done it in the real world (mostly) aware of what he's doing. Where the line between Fitz and the Doctor was pretty clear last season, now it's completely blurred. And what makes it all even worse is that it happened because of the brain trauma he suffered back in the S1 finale saving Jemma's life. It's been turned against him, now between that and all the other stress he's been put through trying to save the world he's done something everyone (including himself) will hate him for, piling yet more suffering on top of all the rest. I was looking forward to this ep, but I have to say that by the end, I was feeling as sick as Jemma. I have some ideas about how they could somehow make this right, but I'm skeptical that they will any time soon. It's a shame too because I was just starting to enjoy AOS again - between the final arc of S4 and the Fitz-less episodes at the start of this season, my enthusiasm for AOS had seriously waned. But since they've gotten back from the future I had started getting into it again. Now I'm back to dreading the next ep. __________________

Still need to watch the episode but i know what happens ..
I for one thing its interesting to see were they take this with fitz , I didn't mind the doctor or evil fitz in season 4 i loved season 4 as a whole so that side of fitz i didnt mind. But i like that they are trying to resolve this story i mean if still connected from season one that is a good circle of storyline.. but this is the 2nd arch of this season .. and they need to resolve this side to fitz.. Still love him __________________

That was traumatic. I'll never forgive Fitz either. He better apologize. __________________

I loved s4, and I didn't exactly mind the evil doctor Fitz that much. I mean yes, I was shocked at how he was, but I won't say I hated that storyline, because I didn't. I mean I didn't like a bit how he acted in there, but it was still a bit interesting to watch imo. I, for one, don't see it as Daisy being tortured by Fitz. I mean yes I'm sure it was painful and it was Fitz actually doing it in the real world, but overall he didn't paralyze her. And he did restore her powers, even if she didn't really want them at that moment. Granted I think it will be kind of heartbreaking for some at what's happening with Fitz. I genuinely thought it was an apparition that he was seeing. I didn't expect him to be the one doing all of that.. instead of his evil self. __________________

Hope Fitz can find some mental rest now that he is isolated.

To focus on Daisy regaining her powers, or the fact that she (luckily) didn't become paralyzed, doesn't negate that what Fitz did was torture. |
