It seems like the writers have been concentrating more on Coulson's reactions to Skye, and maybe it's partly because Ward isn't so emotional, but I'd really like to see some sort of Skyeward scene. Even if they're in a room full of other people, I'll take a look.

Did anyone watch the preview of the rest of the season during the Oscars? There was a quick flash a couple in bed, and I know it's Ward, but the flash was so brief, I couldn't tell who the woman was.

I put this already in the epi thread but because it was about to turn into a rant about Ward's lack of emotion this episode and the bloody preview for next week, thought I should bring it over here.

honestly, what happened to Ward? Other than the brief moment at the hospital, he didn't seem overly concerned maybe he really is a robot lol. And what the hell is with the May/Ward crap? Was I imagining the chemistry between grant and Skye? I honestly don't get anything from grant and melinda.

What I found interesting too was that Melinda was the one to beat the stuffing out of Quinn.

There really wasn't anything. They had a conversation in the beginning that centered mostly on Skye and Coulson's decision to take her to the facility that he was in. I think it was more about the preview for next week's episode which dealt with the May/Ward relationship...and him kissing another woman (that isn't Skye) while under her thrall.

Yeah, that preview was hard to handle. Of course I'm sure that more is involved and the scenes we were shown are only centered around the Mayward aspect. But I guess that conversation is for another thread.

Umm, it's Ward? That is the only thing I can think to say as to his reaction. Although that one brief moment in the hospital when his eyebrows drew together and he looked as if he could fold in on himself spoke loudly. He does care about her, but I'm sad to say, I don't think it's anything romantic. Even if there was no May, I don't think his interest in her would lean toward the romantic side. With the way things are working out now, I don't think there will be anything even close to resembling a romantic notion between them until season 2.

As for the Mayward thing, I'm still convinced it won't last. Because you're right, I don't see the same chemistry between them that I do with him and Skye. That being said, after the preview for next week's episode, I think it will either be the beginning of the end for them, or it'll push them closer together.

I'm kind of interested to see where Tripp's interest in Jenna will go, but I have to admit, I was kind of hoping he'd take a liking to Skye (obviously once she was awake). It was quite obvious before they traded blows, but Ward didn't like him. I was hoping that maybe someone else's interest in Skye would force Ward to see things differently, and that if it was him, he'd react much differently.
