Manu and I have been discussing this, and we think that it may be time to close this board. Our post counts have been declining over the past few months and we have very few regular posters. As you know, Fan Forum requires that we average at least 15 posts per day, with lower numbers than that leading to warnings and then possible closure of the board. We would prefer to go out under our own terms rather than be forced to close due to low post counts.

Please let us know what you think. We'd be glad to hear any suggestions or advice to renew interest here. Remember that to keep the board going, we need the commitment of a few regular, dedicated posters. As much as we love this board, please don't just post to "save" the board and then disappear again, because we'll be in the same position that we're in now if you do.

quoting to add that we've discussed this previously with other regular posters and we agreed that closing the board would be the best decision. we can always chat orphan black in the respective thread in the television forum whenever we feel like reminiscing.

I've been a mod from day one and my co-mods and I always struggled a bit (but especially in the last few months) to keep this board alive. with the show being over, this is going to be an impossible task as even I no longer feel compelled to post here everyday (hence why a mod spot is open).

let us know what you think and what the majority agrees will be considered

I'm on side with closing the board.

Posting on boards because you feel you have to rather than because you want to is never fun and I'd much rather enjoy posting. We've never had a huge amount of regular posters and it's likely to get even less now that the show is over. I'll certainly miss the board, but I think closing is ultimately the right decision.

I'm sad about it closing, but yeah it is true that we have been muddling on between a small group of us since almost the board opened. It isn't sustainable.

It has been fun though here.

i've always been in favor of closing the board once the show is over (better to go out on our own terms than because of no interest). i'm glad we were able to have the board for all these years/seasons. i'm not sad, because we had a good run, and as someone who was lucky enough to be a mod here, we had it pretty good, all things considered. a little board for a little show, and we got to spend the whole time together. as a family. i'm happy with our time here and all the friends old and new that i got to spend time with.

we'll see each other all anyways on the cophine/general show discussion threads anyway, i'm certain.

I just needed to catch up with the eps cuz I let myself slip and get behind on watching them.

I'm so sad to hear about this. But I understand your decision. I would've still helped you guys though.

it is sad to see this board go , one thing that makes me happy is its a perfect time with the show ending you end together , lucky for FF there a millions of ways to keeps this show alive to disucss this awesome show .. im also behind with this season but i do love this show was an amazing show and everyone who posted here did an amazing job .. it is in your hands but you did do well so you should be proud of it

I just want to say thank you to all of you who created, moderated and sustained this board. I've posted only sporadically but it really meant a lot to me to be able to come here and discuss Orphan Black. I really loved this show and didn't know people in real life who cared as much about it as I did. I've really enjoyed reading your thoughts and having a place to post my own. It makes sense to me to close the board now that the show is over, but I hope there will still be a thread where people can go to post about OB and I hope to see some of you there from time to time (I certainly want to rewatch the whole series sometime!). So thanks again, and best wishes, and hope to see you all again.

I believe there's an OB thread on the TV and Sci-fi boards, not sure which people prefer. And there's a Cosima&Delphine thread on the Couples board.
