Does Helena drive you casuals away this much? I am snorting at Delphine leaving the country in the penultimate episode for no discernible purpose.
Glad Sarah was able to do a better blood transfusion with Coady than the last time. Not sure if that was her death, kind of think Helena needs to go an extra special step further with the **** mother. Mark really lost his edge. Was expecting Helena to fill him in about Gracie and him to have a hero death. It was a gut punch to watch him talk about his planned normal life. Art got his kill here with Frontenac, so not positive he'll take Enger too. Him telling Scott to jet only secures he's finale death, but maybe they'll swerve after being so transparent with S. I have no idea how this bald, twitchy moron is leader. Bet even Kira could take him. NEXT WEEK: THIS IS EVOLUTION |

And on the subject of Delphine, because when an episode really bores me I cannot help but look at the plot holes, what has she even been doing? Start of season she was working in PT's camp doing ~something, then she got shipped off, came back, got shipped off again & planned to secretly join up with Felix to help track down money ..... And then what? I know PT's camp fell, but am I seriously supposed to believe in the build-up to that PT would send someone off on a mission, and it wouldn't be reported at all that she'd gone off to do something else? Just a case of 'camp falls, everyone fend for yourself, and go do whatever you want with planes?' It's just sooooo dumb and like I say, when an episode bores me I can't help but focus on this stuff. Considering I tuned out when the storyline came into play, excuse me for not caring at all that Coady kills Mark. Have to admit I do lol at the opening scene which basically translates to the moral of 'interrupt a nun's pleasure and you're ruined for life'. Like I'm not even sure if that opening scene was supposed to be funny, but it was because it was so ridiculous. Rest of the ep went over my head. __________________

Considering this was the second last episode of OB ever, I kind of felt a little eh about it. I think it was mostly because of the Helena flashbacks we got. The other flashback episodes have been excellent but I didn't feel like this one had the same impact that the other episodes did. Potentially because we've heard quite a bit about Helena's backstory already and aside from the flashback where Helena finds out she's a clone killing clones, I didn't feel like the other scenes added much to what we already knew.
Also, what was up with them not using the actress who plays Charlotte to play young Helena? That was just weird. I think this episode would've benefited from less flashbacks and more present time. Really loved Rachel this episode tbh. It was nice to see her genuinely helping, if only because it seems like she really does want to leave this all behind. She still hasn't redeemed herself, but it was nice. And all those clone skype conversations and speaker phone calls were really good, getting to hear the details first hand rather than lots of so and so says stuff. Mrs S funeral. I was not ready. I really loved that everyone was there for it and Cosima and Alison had their own little moment for S even though they couldn't be there in person. Sarah mourning the whole episode was completely heartbreaking. I can't imagine how much worse she would've been if she'd lost Helena in the end too. It feels like Art is going to die next episode as well but it would be nice to be wrong. I'm glad he got Scott out of the line of fire. I need Scott to survive this. PT without his hair was so creepy. |

I liked the ep. But it was only so so, like so much of this season. I'm relieved to finally see Sarah out of the house, and I'm glad she used Rachel in the plan. Mrs S always would take the risk and I think Sarah realises finally that the risk sometimes has to be taken even if she doesn't like it. It's coming back to the conversation between Mrs S and Elizabeth Perkins in 5x04 when Perkins said Sarah was on the cusp of becoming her [Mrs S]. And I think that fits. I think it fits too for where Kira and Sarah are at. Mrs S's code name was "home", and Sarah is close enough and fit enough to be that for Kira now. Sarah can be home.
Mark dying pissed me off. Castor are all gone and that's fine with me, but his death was so peaceful, and Gracie who didn't turn her back on Helena died terrified and out of her mind. wtf show? Quote:

I'm also kinda wishing they'd kept the final few episodes to be like the usual OB with a focus on all the clones rather than specifically Helena, and Sarah next week. I wish they'd finished the character centric ones before now, but that's just another pacing issue S5 has been compounded with. Quote:

Loved Rachel this episode and I can't believe I'm saying it, but I've loved her all season since the scene she shared with Cosima in 5x01, and I knew somehow that there was a bit of humanity digging around in Rachel somewhere, right at the back of her dead soul. Sure she is still going to be out for herself, but she isn't as closed off as she was. Quote:

I have to admit that I don't really know how to feel about this episode.
It feels like the first in a two-parter, with the payoff to come in the final episode -- or not. It really seems impossible to judge as of now, with so many things still up in the air, whether or not we'll get finale that's satisfying and feels real. Here's my list of stuff that'll have to happen before Clone Club can ride off into the sunset: - Helena has to give birth. - P.T./John has to die. - Matty has to die. - Art seems to have set himself up to die? But that just feels like it would be incredibly painful to everyone involved after losing Mrs. S, so maybe (this may just be wishful thinking on my part?!?) the real reason for rejoicing is that he manages to rescue Helena and Sarah and they get out alive after offing Matty and P.T.? I hoped we'd get a lot of answers in this episode and I almost feel like we got more questions, specifically because I'm not sure Coady is dead, even though that looked like a death blow from Helena. Ugh. Next week seems really far away, particularly as it was co-written by Graeme and the new writer, Aisha Porter-Christie, who knocked my socks off last week.... |

I'm fuzzy on a few things:
Who's Matty? Who was the original clone? Kendall Malone was the mother/father to all of them, but who was the first clone? __________________

Oh, ok. I thought that she was Enger. I completely forgot about the Promeatheans until this episode. I didn't hate season 2,but it all seemed distant. S3 was the crap one and idgaf about Castor. Coady was scary and the guys were the ultimate dudebros times infinity.
