When it's this hot, we need our AC! Only thing that concerns me, is my sisters husband who's in the military, is being shipped off to another country for almost a year, days before thanksgiving. So my sister is coming to spend Thanksgiving-New Years with us and shes bringing my nephew. What if we lose power multiple times when they are here? Could be an absolute pain! My nephew is at that age where he depends on technology.

Even though I don't have air con where I live, as most houses in the UK don't, I do have a fan, so I can understand not having power for that when we had to the weather that we had last week.

I hope that it goes well while your sister and nephew are visiting you.

I'm very thankful that my brother isn't back in Houston right now for work.. It's about to get hit by 2 hurricanes this week!! He was living there when Hurricane Harvey hit 3 years ago, and it's a time I'll never forget.. Glad I don't have to worry this time around. He's been on furlough, so hes been living with my sister in Oklahoma. But he just got a call saying he's now good to return to work! Which he's thankful for, but it's also not for another 2-3 weeks, so he won't have to return to houston during the hurricanes! Also, he got an offer for a job in Georgia, so he's weighing the decision of returning back to Houston, or starting a new job in Georgia.

It's great that he can return to work, but he'll miss the hurricanes, and I can completely understand why you'd be relieved about that.

We're meant to be getting rain and 50 mph winds tomorrow, which I hope isn't the case as it's been arranged and agreed for me to meet up with my business support colleagues. I haven't seen them in person since March and one of them I haven't met properly as they started during lockdown.

But, we had to cancel the business support meet up due to the rain and wind, although it wasn't so bad in the afternoon when we were meant to meet up.

It was busy due to work, which included a couple of meetings (via Skype and Microsoft Teams) and I've got a few things that I'll need to do when I'm back at work on Tuesday, as we've got a bank holiday next week, so an extra day off work.

That sounds great, and I hope it went well.
