Aww I hope not but maybe? But it would be good to see Alfredo get more of a dramatic storyline. I love fun and friendly Alfredo but it is always nice to flesh out a character.

I agree and I also want him have a bigger part that would be nice. Also if as:censored: daddy comes Sherlock needs all the support he can get.

True. Mind you wouldn't it be a curve ball if his father wasn't a douchebag.

He must care about Sherlock a bit if he is concerned about his drug addiction, but that could just be a reputation thing and he could actually be a complete a***hole. Then again, Elementary is pretty good at creating characters so I am sure he will have some redeeming qualities as no one is completely one dimensional.

Still, I would have a hard time believing that he is a great guy considering what we know of him already.

This talk is VERY interesting, because when you think about it we mostly know this characters through Sherlock's feelings about them; could it be that SHerlock is acting a bit like a brat in regard to his father? Maybe he is perfectly fine, just not what Sherlock wanted in a father?

Ugh how am I going to wait until october?? :lmao:

There are always two sides to a story and although it doesn't seem like Sherlock's father was a very good parent, I can't imagine that Sherlock was the easiest child to handle, particularly if (as we suspect) his mother isn't in the picture.

I can't remember if Mycroft mentioned anything about him which gave any clues on whether Sherlock has antagonised him, but I do remember Sherlock saying that Mycroft had a better relationship with their father!

The father probably wasn't patient enough to handle Sherlock.

mycreativityuppedandleft 05-31-2015 08:23 AM

I think you are probably both right. He may not be a bad Father, it may just be a case of not understanding and being able to connect with him so it doesn't translate well in Sherlock's mind. Or he could be a complete a-hole. Can't wait to find out.

I hope he is horrible, I am going to be on Sherlock's side anyway so I would rather that be the 'right' side

also it worries me if he turns out ok and Watson likes him, Sherlock will feel betrayed and it will be another Mycroft situation, just minus the sex.

b4dark 05-31-2015 01:36 PM

OH nooooooo not THE Mycroft again!!! I'll be on Sherlock's side too anyway .
