I got to the bit of them in Paris which was lovely to read

So many subtle yet profound hints that there is a connection there between them. That’s definitely a special city for them. There was a moment where Thomas talked about wanting to get a tattoo and showed Alastair where he would get it and then Alastair touched that spot. It was just a brief moment, but there was a nice intimacy to it.

And I’ll quote this because why not

Thomas raised his eyebrows. A few other people nearby did as well.

“This is your revenge, I suppose,” Alastair went on, as if Thomas had done this to him personally, “for all the times I called you ‘wee little Thomas’ or ‘half pint’ or—I can’t remember, I’m sure I had something catty and witty to say.”
