I have the DVDs anyway. Of everything! Including College Years & both movies.

Good question, but they’ll most likely be in the order that they were aired, and not production order. That usually happens when shows are streamed. Which sucks, because one episode Zack & Slater are BFFs and the next episode, they’re enemies again.

i put them all in an order that made sense to me years ago (on the first page) and it was way different lol. But i will watch the episodes that way cuz it makes sense to me haha.

Step By Step was the same way, at least the last 2 seasons. I just finished watching that on Hulu and the 6th season was so out of order, it was making my head hurt. Season 7 was a little bit, but not as bad.

With SBTB, I found a list a long time ago of the proper order in which to watch the episodes, but I don’t know if I’d be able to look it up again. If I do happen to come across it, I’ll post it here.

i dont get what the writers were thinking? did they just not care about previous storylines? so weird.

in the OP is the order I came up with and it makes sense to me, so ill be using that. its based off of american highschool too and what happens with specific events like mid terms and prom etc. Also takes into account the couples lol.

It’s not the writers, it’s the network that airs the show. For whatever reason, they get aired out of production order. The writers will put a couple together and continue with their relationship for future episodes, and that’s the way it’s filmed, but when the network airs it, the episodes are all out of order, so that same couple could be together one episode, but the next episode they’re not dating/with other people with no explanation. I don’t know why networks do that. I think it has something to do with the show eventually being in syndication…

ETA: I went back and read your synopsis’ and I see what you mean now. Even if they were in production order, some of the writing could be screwed up and not consistent with some past storylines. I guess that’s what happens with Saturday morning, stand-alone, made-for-kids TV shows.

ETA: I just read through all of that in the OP, and it makes the best sense to me as well as it could be. I think with this show, because it was mainly stand-alone episodes, the writers didn’t think or care about storylines that happened in the past and just wrote episodes of whatever they felt like, whether it made sense in the “Bayside universe” or not. Like you said at one point, you kinda just have to suspend belief for most of the series.

At least The College Years, is pretty much all in production order.

yeah, exactly, some storylines are dropped entirely like when zach decided to date lisa lol. random. or when violet just disappeared.

One of the biggest continuity errors was how the show switched from Indiana (“Good Morning, Miss Bliss”) to California, with Mr. Belding, Zack, Lisa, & Screech all the same characters, but Jessie has grown up next door to Zack since they were kids.

I never really watched it, either. I’ve just seen a few behind the scenes documentaries and stuff on this show.
