Decent list

Alex wasn't in S6 though

For me: (though I'm choosing more than 1 thing)

Season 1: I didn't mind the triangle stuff all that much but I didn't like LP cheating. I also wish that he hadn't slept with Nicki. NH getting married was DUMB!

Season 2: More basketball, less Felix, no dumb BL romance hints. I was fine with the friendship. LP should have had more friend scenes too. Could have done without Haley kissing Chris as well. They didn't need to add a man into the music drama.

Season 3: BL, if they were going to be together, could have been less toxic. But I would have preferred them just to be friends. HATED Brooke getting mad at Peyton too, so silly and unnecessary. She was awful at the end of season 3. I really loved season 3 though I dont have too much to criticize. As cool as the Dan shooting Keith episode was and shocking, a big part of me hated that they made Dan go that far.

Season 4: Parts felt too dark. Nathan seeing Keith's ghost was stupid! The Derek SL was too cheesey imo. LP were a tad too cheesey as well, I would have preferred them to act more in character. HATED pregnant Haley, again, too soon. Not a fan. Her getting pregnant at the end of senior year MAYBE but not as a senior, such a lame message to send to everyone. Whitey and Karen deserved better goodbyes too.

Season 5: LL NEVER should have been engaged, period. And they Lucas should have been the one to break it off. Him pining for her afterwards was really dumb too. Brooke should not have been thrown into the mix as the phone call in the finale either, unrealistic and dumb. Honestly though I enjoyed this season and everything else.

Season 6: Maybe a shorter season in general. LP were good and I liked the introduction of Julian. The nanny carrie storyline was really extreme and over the top, wasnt into that. Also a lot of the movie plot was really over the top too and its when the show started getting kind of dumb. They could have reeled things in in season 6. I also hated the ending for LP and they should have written a better ending for them where they decided to travel and actually gave them proper goodbyes with everyone.

Season 7: Could have explained LP's absence better. I did enjoy a lot of storylines this season. Clay/Quinn could have been a tad less cheesy though near the end of the season. Less Jamie. We didnt need to bring random side characters in like miranda/grubbs, or see mia/millie/chase/mouth that much, they were super boring characters. Brooke was also SUPER whiney this season and just a pain in the butt. The Katie storyline was SO RIDICULOUS AND STUPID!

Season 8: BAD BAD BAD. This season needed more focus. It was literally a filler season where nothing significant happened really. Everything felt over the top and cheesey, like they were constantly making a bad joke. Characters were separated way too much. Nope. Just... bad. Just get rid of the whole season honestly llol. Too many side characters that we didnt care about!

Season 9: Similar to season 8 some stuff was over the top and too much but they actually had a chunk of decent episodes. I wish they had utilized Chad better and had him interacting with Nathan or Dan instead of just Haley. Or they could have had him in the finale. I didnt care for the flashforward in the finale either as it made it seem like lP would never be back. Alex's departure was super rushed too.

Pretty much agree with all of that

For me it is:

Season 1: Naley getting married

Season 2: Going back to BL (or at least how it was written)

Season 3: Peyton's reaction to Haley coming home

Season 4: Psycho Derek

Season 5: The Lindsay triangle

Season 6: Nanny Carrie

Season 7: Brulian/Alex triangle

Season 8: Clay and Quinn's Purgatory Storyline

Season 9: The Logan storyline

Would obviously be a bit longer if I was picking more than one for each season

I think after rethinking s3 is my fav season. Season 1-4 are my fave seasons I liked the high school years  more than then their adulthood years. Seasons 5 & 6 were alright and still had some good episodes. Seasons 7-9 were okayish with some okay episodes in them.

S1 - The Love B/L/P Love triangle got on my nerves. It sucked L&P hooked up behind Brooke's back. Good intro season though. Nathan/Haley were cute.

S2- Anna/Felix were annoying and added nothing to the plot imo. I did like Brooke & Lucas scenes. I like Jake & Peyton too.

S3- Keith dying was sad. I like Brooke & Lucas/ Nathan & Haley getting back together.

S4- I liked they all finally graduated High school. The psycho Derek storyline was terrible. Brooke and Lucas breaking up sucked and Brooke & Peyton fighting was played out too.

S5- Jamie was adorable and the Peyton/Lucas/Lidnsay triangle was terrible it was redux of the triangle they had with Brooke. Nathan and Nanny Carrie was terrible. Rachel coming back being a jerk was terrible too.

S6- I was sad when Brooke got attacked and Victoria being terrible to her. Quentin dying was sad. I did like Brooke finding love with Julian.

S7-S9- They could have explained Lucas and Peyton absence better in s7. S7-S9 were all meh to me. Quinn & Clay had some cute scenes. The psycho storyline with the Sarah look a like chick was terrible. Chris and Chase being besties was okay. Yay Brooke and Julian got married and Nathan & Haley had a baby girl. Cool Brooke finally made amends with her parents too. I did not like the episode in s9 when Lucas came back it do not tie into the season at all with Nathan being missing he should have help Dan find Nathan.

I did like the series finale in s9. I loved they played U2 -One Tree Hill in the ending scene.

Good list for the most part

Oh I totally forgot about Katie and how dumb that whole thing was! I need to add that in. lol.

I also didnt like Peytons reaction to Haley in season 3.

I went back and bolded my #1 complaint and the 1 thing I would change.

BlondieLeigh 03-24-2020 04:56 PM

Peyton's s3 reaction to Haley made literally no sense.

stlavin95 03-26-2020 04:42 PM

No it didn't

How would have you handed LP in season 2?

I wasn't too happy with Haley at that time, and I thought Peyton's actions, some of them, were justified.

I wanted Haley to realize, and Nathan wasn't going to tell her straight out, that her leaving for months and having little to no communication is not okay. She can't just come back home and everything is okay. She broke Nathan's heart and just because they love each other doesn't mean that all is forgiven with the snap of the fingers.

stlavin95 03-27-2020 03:39 AM

Just bothered me that didn't really match up to how Peyton acted in S2 when it came to Haley and the writers didn't do a great job of making the change believable enough.

Alexa 03-27-2020 11:52 PM

They didnt make sense to me personally because Peyton was actually really supportive of Haley in season 2 when it was happening. We were supposed to believe she suddenly was impacted because Ellie just left, but it didnt make sense and it was OOC of Peyton be so mean to her.

It would have made more sense imo if Lucas was the one upset with her for just leaving.

at the time I didnt think what Haley did was THAT bad. Nathan was the one that gave her an ultimatum, so in Haley's eyes, he was basically the one that broke things off. But recently ive been watching a reactor watch the episodes for the first time and shes a huge nathan fan so shes pissed at haley and i am starting to see his POV more. i mean, haley acted very naunchelant a lot of the time, like when Nathan went to see her. and she did take off her ring when she should have stuck to her guns. But again, I see haleys POV because she was so young and just trying to please everyone else and follow her dream. Nathan shouldn't have given her the ultimatum. But he is right, she could have asked him to go with her. They were both in the wrong imo

stlavin95 03-28-2020 02:43 AM

Don't think it would have more sense for Lucas to be bad at Haley either, since he was supportive of her as well.

The whole tour storyline bothered me too tbh, if would have preferred something academic related if they were going to send off Haley for a bit.

Alexa 03-28-2020 06:37 PM

well he was supportive of her in season 2, but I'm saying in general if they wanted someone else to be upset with her they could have made it be lucas since she was his best friend.

but its obvious they werent planning very well.

Maybe, but Peyton was the one encouraging her to go. It made no sense for her to suddenly have an issue with it when she was all for it before.

Alexa 03-29-2020 03:20 PM

it made a tiny bit of sense, they explained it. when Ellie left, Peyton was frustrated and took it out on Haley because "people always leave"... i mean, not the best explanation but better than nothing.

Plus, maybe Peyton thought that Haley was going to be in contact with them a lot. It sounds like Haley rarely ever called anyone.
