About Miss Match:
Alicia Silverstone (“Love’s Labour’s Lost,” “Clueless”) stars in “Miss Match,” a charming and romantic drama from Emmy Award-winning executive producer Darren Star (“Sex and the City,” “Melrose Place”) and Jeff Rake (“The Practice”) that makes the perfect match for Friday nights this fall on NBC.

In addition to a burgeoning career as a divorce attorney in her father’s law firm, Kate Fox (Silverstone) has a knack for matchmaking, which she regards as merely a hobby, until a socialite bride credits Kate for her romantic success in the press and word of her talent spreads.

Soon, to the dismay of her father and boss, Jerrold (Ryan O’Neal, “Love Story,” “Paper Moon”) and her antagonistic co-council, Nick (James Roday, “Rolling Kansas”), Kate is juggling the conflicting worlds of divorce and true love; her passion for all types of relationships leading her from the office, to court, to consultations with every lovelorn soul in Los Angeles as she attempts to fulfill her promise of “signature service” for all her clients.

With her best friend Victoria (Lake Bell, NBC’s “War Stories”) at her side, Kate is determined to bring a little romance into the world, perhaps finding her own true love in the process.

Rounding out the cast of this new series are David Conrad (“Men of Honor”) as Michael Mendelsohn, a potential client who sparks Kate’s particular interest and Jodi Long (“Celebrity”) as Claire, Jerrold Fox & Associate’s meddling office manager.

“Miss Match” is produced by 20th Television with Imagine Entertainment and Darren Star Productions. Brian Grazer (“24”) and David Nevins (“Double Deception”) also serve as executive producers.

Hey, Where'd It Go?
For no official reason, the show has temporarily been taken off the air, but not to worry! NBC has released a few press releases saying that Miss Match will definitely return with about 5 more episodes. At this time (early January '04), no one knows when they'll air. The first plans talked about late February, but that could easily be changed. Since Alicia got a Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal as Kate on the show, though, we know NBC will keep its word and understand just what a great show it is! [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

tis a great show. it's quite right that she's acting this way towards michael right now that is. and how do we guess it's gonna be a square instead of a triangle cuz now michaels ex bf and her will probably hang out now

does anyone download from the net any episodes? I still need to see Jive Turkey..and i tried to download myself..but i screwed up and can't figure out how to change the settings.

If anyone has a copy on cdv or whatver they call it that will work on a dvd player i will pay!!!

You might want to check out AllAboutAlicia.com and go to the forum there. There's a topic in the General thread, I believe, that should explain how to download eps off of the webmaster Robbie's server. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

I just read a spoiler for a titled episode with no airdate over on the Spoiler Board that's making me glee and glow like no other. [img]smilies/glow.gif[/img] So...it does suggest that NBC is getting ready to bring it back. Thank goodness! [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

Oh, oh, oh! I read in Us Weekly today that Alicia is on the cover of the February issue of Cosmopolitan. (I'm not sure if it's out on the shelves yet, but it should be soon if it hasn't yet.) Let's hope there's a Miss Match mention!

I went to California with my parents over winter break and saw 4 places that have been on Miss Match (City Hall, Elixir (the tea place where one of Kate's couples went), Santa Monica, and Saks Fifth Avenue). I went crazy - "Loook! Loooook! It's Saks! It's Saks! Where Kate and Serena were!" Ha, I'm such a dork. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]
